I don't know why I let my friend drag me into this. I hate these stupid mazes they aren't even fun. Some masked "killer" with a rubber chainsaw chases you down as you get more confused and lost.  Sounds like so much fun.

I grabbed my coat and head out the door. I get into my friend's car. He's grinning and yammering about this new maze that opened up and how realistic and scary it is. Sounds boring, been to one before like it and it wasn't worth the $70.

I didn't even we realize we were there until the car jerks braking to a sudden holt. We almost hit a hay bale with a lantern on it. Someone is standing by a broken table they are shadowed too heavily to make out. My friend pays them well and we are pointed to the maze. Seems like a standard corn maze nothing really great. My friend grabs me by the hand and leads me into the barn. There's a few other groups looking ready and already fearful.

I roll my eyes as I'm dragged past them and out into the corn. The corn was dense and thick. Not really my favorite.

It's itchy and cold, I wish I grabbed my sweatshirt before we left. That doesn't matter, my friend is trailing the couple in front of us they seem to know where they're going.

I hear the chainsaw before I see the mask man, it sounds very real this year, the couple scream and then laugh. As they go to walk past him, the man brings down his chainsaw and slices the woman's head . The other woman screams seeing her girlfriend brutally murdered in front of her. We all take off running the smell of iron is strong now the deeper we get in. I try and find a exit, I don't know where my friend is. Every turn I take is just a closed off area I can't get past the corn, it's like all stuck together.

I pant and lean against one wall. I hear the chainsaw get closer and closer. I accept my fate and close my eyes. I fall through the corn and I'm back at the barn. I don't know why I was chosen to survive.
