I slide the gown over my slender body. The silk material is soft against my skin. I can't believe I'm finally allowed to go alone to a Halloween party. I hope my queen costume looks decent enough. I couldn't splurge on fancy shit. Even the crown is cheap plastic painted gold with fake plastic gems on it.

Anyways I smooth out my gown and grab my bag. I hastily write a note telling them I'm leaving and I head to the party. It was only a short walk.

I'm so nervous,  what if I fuck up and humiliate myself? What if they make fun of me?

I almost turn back around but I keep forward. The thought of yummy treats help motivate me.

I make it to the already booming party, the music shakes the walls and I'm surprised no one has called the police yet.

Crystal, a old friend, pulls me over to the punch table, "You look good, Elliot." she grins,

"Jennifer now." I said softly looking away bashfully,

"Well Jennifer, you got to see Xavier's costume. His is pretty sick."

I take a cup of punch and follow her. Xavier is standing in the center of the room wearing the bloody uniform of a well known nursing home. He's dripping on the floor a little but everyone seems too buzzed or drunk to notice him silently standing there.

"Xaiver?" I shout over the music shimmying around the sea of sweaty dancing bodies.

He tilts his head. His eyes are a dark blue, his hair is a wheat blond,  and he's got a bit of scruff on his jaw which most of the boys can't grow yet.

"You got a killer costume." I shout to him,

He grins and I back up. That grin didn't even look human. I watching Xaiver out the corner of my eye here and there.

Crystal yanks me over to a small couch, "Look Ammie brought in last years Halloween party photos."

I see the familiar faces of everyone. They all look drunk and trying not to fall over. I point to a guy in a mummy costume, "Who's that?"

"Xavier." Crystal says,

"Oh did he have eye contacts in? Like the kind that change eye color?" I ask,

Crystal shakes her head, "No, Jenny. His eyes are naturally hazel."

My head shot up and I looked up at Xaiver dragging his corpse like body over to us. His eyes are dark blue. And his face is peeling off, like wallpaper.

He stumbles over with a trembling hand he hands me a wilted flower, this is the first time any guy's ever given me a flower. I almost want to smile. Then his face falls into my lap and I scream.
