Its Alive

My husband and I finish off the last jerry can. He lights the match and it all goes in flame.

We run inside, get in the elevator, and inside our apartment.  That's how we got rid of Issac, no one found him. This should get rid of this creature. I grab my dear daughter and hold her against my chest. A whimper escapes my lips as I hear its song still, "Sweet mother,  sweet mother, send your child unto me, for the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood and fear."

"How is he still alive?" my husband whispers.

I don't answer as I see the bright flames emerge from around the corner. I curl up our infant pressed against my chest.

He appears, "You made your children suffer
You murdered one. You will repay. You will repay."

I can only watch in silent horror as my husband is lifted up without a hand touching him. His eyes and mouth glow, he rapidly ages until he's just a pile of ash.

I know Im next. I run, I don't know where I'm running to but I'm running. The thing grabs my hair and I throw my darling daughter out the 21st floor window.

I can only watch as she is rescued by the things partner, she didn't even have time to react.  Maybe a soft cry but she's quickly comforted,  something I've never done for her.

My body heats up and it feels like sand is in my throat and mouth. I can breathe, I can't see. I feel my heart explo-.....
