They closed the door behind them and Tony turned towards Steve crossing his arm, "So what was that about?", he asked.

"It's nothing Tony, Nat is out of her mind", Steve said looking down at the floor and not into Tony's eyes.

"How do you know I was going to ask you about that? I may have asked you about the surprise", Tony said.

"Were you?", Steve asked looking into Tony's eyes, "No", Tony said sighing, "But Steve please baby I need to know, I know something happened to you after civil war", Tony said.

Steve sighed and nodded, "We... Well when we were on run we stayed in Wakanda most of the time and even when I was able run away from the government, I couldn't run away from the guilt. The guilt for breaking the avengers, the guilt for taking Bucky's side and not yours, the guilt for breaking your heart, the guilt...", he said and his voice shook a tear dropping from his eye.

"Steve", Tony started, "The guilt for slamming my shield against the reactor, your arc reactor which was keeping you alive, keeping me alive", Steve interrupted his blue eyes clouded with regret and guilt.

"Steve, I forgave you long back for that honey", Tony said his voice wavering slightly, "But that's the thing Tony, you shouldn't have forgiven me, you should have killed me, I don't even deserve you Tony", Steve said kneeling down.

"Aww Stevie, this reactor maybe the one that keeps me alive, but you are the reason I want to be alive Steve and you deserve me as much as I deserve you", Tony said kneeling in front of Steve with a sass making Steve chuckle through his tears.

Suddenly something dawned on Tony, "Wait killed you? You mean you tried to kill yourself?", Tony asked and Steve nodded looking away.

"Why? How many times?", Tony asked making Steve look at him, "Twice", Steve muttered and Tony's eyes turned murderous.

"WHY WOULD YOU DO SUCH A THING? DID YOU WANT ME TO SUFFER MORE THAN I DID", Tony shouted getting up tears falling down his face.

"Tony it's not that, not you", Steve said moving towards Tony who swatted his hand away backing to the bed.

"THEN WHAT STEVE? HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?", Tony screamed crying, "I couldn't Tony, I had nightmares of me slamming the shield on you again and again, but the sad truth is because of the serum I can't cut myself, it healed too quickly", he said rubbing his left arm.

Tony cupped his mouth trying to stop a sob escaping his lips and sat on the bed, Steve moved towards Tony slowly and hugged him.

The smaller man let all his emotions into Steve, both of them let their emotions into each other muttering 'sorrys' and 'I love yous'.

Tony broke the hug slowly, "Promise me Steve that to never do that again ever", Tony whimpered wiping both their tears.

"I promise you Tony", Steve said and both shared a kiss which spoke louder than words, a promise.

"What was it Peter wanted to give me?", Tony asked after breaking the kiss and Steve removed his arms from Tony signing one second with his finger and moving to the side table.

He opened the drawer and took a box out and gave it to Tony, Tony opened it to see a Komoyo bead bracelet along with a earpiece.

He took the bracelet and looked at Steve in confusion, Steve took it from him and wore it on the younger man's wrist and took the earpiece and placed it in his left ear.
