Alison stirred from her sleep, becoming aware of being in a nice warm cosy place as she snuggled up against Paul in his bed.
It had been dark when they arrived at his place the night before, It was a large Victorian terraced house, that had been turned into apartments, situated somewhere just outside London.
He informed her he had moved here when he had split up with Holly a few years back, and it was only a temporary stop until they sold the house they had shared; then he planned to get something a little bigger.
The apartment was compact, but very modern and stylishly decorated, furnished with all the latest electronics, like the large wide screen television; and also the hi tech computer in the corner, suddenly Alison understood why Paul had found life on the Island almost primitive.
She was a little awed by her surroundings having only seen such places in magazines and television.
But not that Paul gave her much time to take in her surrounding, he had showed her around rather quickly, until they ended up in his bedroom.
It was there he lingered with her, reminding her she had promised he could have the pleasure of helping her remove her black dress, and it was the prefect time.
In the end it had been hard to refuse when he had been planting tiny little kisses on her neck and face, that weakened all her resolve, so that she forgot about everything else, and they had ended up in his bed making love, before both of them wrapped around each other, fell into an exhausted but contented sleep.
She didn’t know what time it was, but the daylight filtered through the white blind that covered the window, and she could hear traffic from the street below, which was strange to her ears.
Paul’s arm felt heavy laying across her midriff, but at the same time comforting in the unfamiliarity of her surrounding. He was still fast asleep next to her, and now she took the time to study him at her leisure, feeling the familiar fluttering stir somewhere within her.
She now propped herself up a little on her arm, so she could lean over his sleeping form, unable to resist lightly grazing her lips along his jaw line where the growth of dark stubble had started to appear.
Paul stirred, shifting slightly; then his eyes drowsily opened; catching sight of her a the corners of his mouth slowly turned up in a lazy smile.
“Morning,” his voice was still thick with sleep, but she liked the sound of it, and she pressed herself even closer against the length if his body enjoying the pure intimacy of the moment.
“Well I am not sure if it is the morning or afternoon,” she replied with a small laugh, “But I do think its pretty late on in the day judging from all the noise outside”
“Well, we needed to catch up with our sleep after the past few days,” Paul said, “Its been a crazy forty two hours, but well worth it, just to be able to wake up and have you lying here next to me,” His hand now reached up to stroke her dark head; the appreciation evident in his blue eyes as they looked into her hers, making her smile
back at him.
Its kind of strange being here like this with you, but at the same time it feels right as well.” she admitted a little sheepishly.
“Good,” he replied his hand that rested on the back of her head drew her down closer to him so he could kiss her. He was idly considering just spending the rest of the day in bed with her like this, when his cell phone rang At first he tried to ignore it, but then it was Alison who pulled away from him.
“Aren’t you going to answer that?” she asked with a slight grin, “ After all it could be something important” she then pointed out.
Paul sighed, knowing she was right, but had just not wanted to acknowledge it. So now he moved away from her to turn and pick up the phone by his bedside
