The problem with be married to the Minister for Magic is that everyone in the Ministry knows who you are, and absolutely nothing can be kept discreet whatsoever.
Every time she calls me into her office there are certain expectations people expect me to follow, I have to dress the right way, my makeup has to be done a certain way, if I'm not wearing heels people look at me funny, I have to look 'perfect'.
No one cares that I'm a woman, they couldn't care less that the Minister is a lesbian actually, if anything it makes them love her more.
Today's visit was SUPPOSED TO BE PROFESSIONAL! But it didn't end that way....
As the Head of the Department of Mysteries, the only person who has more clearance then I do at the Ministry is Hermione, she's the Minister for Magic, she has full clearance to know whatever it is that's happening within the Ministry itself or in the wizarding world as a whole.
Today's meeting was specifically about what's known as the 'Love Room' in my department. There are only a handful of people who have a key to this room, me, Hermione, and a handful of workers who are all sworn to secrecy with the Fidelius Charm.
While their objective is to study and try and duplicate the magical properties of self sacrificing love, the only known way to repel the killing curse, they also deal with love potions.... Which was today's topic for discussion.
Now, to explain why this was a conflict for me, I have to first tell you who I am.
I'm Y/N Granger-Weasley.
Hermione insisted on hyphenating our last names when we got married, which I didn't, and still don't, mind.
The problem lies in what my brothers do for a living!
My brothers Fred and George started a joke shop shortly before the Second Wizararding War, when Fred died during the battle of Hogwarts my twin brother Ron offered to help George run the business.
The joke shop is known for selling a lot of things: Boxing Telescopes, Thor's Thunder Crackers, Fainting Fancies, Fever Fudge, Puking Pastilles.....and Love Potions, among other things.
The problem I was currently having was that George and Ron were up my ass about Hermione's new pet project to ban Love Potions in Great Britain and Ireland!
While I completely stood behind my wife on this subject, I understood why George and Ron were both upset, they make a living selling things, including love potions.... banning love potions could effect their business.
