Four and a Half Years Later

"Why do you insist on taking my fries when you can order your own"? Clint laughed as he swatted Natasha's hands away from his plate.

"Because they always taste better when they're yours" Natasha winked before swatting his hands back and stealing a couple of Clint's golden fries. Clint rolled his eyes before exchanging warm laughter once again with Natasha. "The fries in Morocco are a thousand times better than those in New York" Natasha made a moaning noise in appreciation of the fries. Clint and Natasha were sat at the counter in their favourite beach shack in Morocco, feeling stuffed with ham and pineapple pizza and the best fries in town.

"Well this has been a lovely 648th date, Clint. Every time you seem to surpass yourself, I just don't know how you do it" Natasha quirked a brow as she linked her arm with Clint's on leaving the shack. The cool, summer evening air was blowing Natasha's curled hair and purple sun dress, sending a pleasant shiver down her spine.

"Honestly, I'm not sure how I'm going to top this one next week" Clint chuckled nervously as they strolled down the beach. The salty, ocean waves washed up on the sands a few metres away from where Natasha and Clint continued to walk along.

"I'm sure you will" Natasha chuckled as she nestled her head on his shoulder as they walked along, but suddenly felt herself be pulled to a halt.

"No Nat, I really don't think I'll able to after this" Clint softly pulled Natasha in front of him as he smirked. Natasha stayed silent but quirked a brow to express her confusion. "Natasha, you're probably going to punch me in the face, but this is something I have wanted to do since the first time we kissed in Morocco five years ago" Clint stroked Natasha's face swiftly before getting down on to one knee.

"Oh God, Clint, what are you doing"? Natasha couldn't contain her happiness in that moment as she covered her mouth with her open hands. Clint took a deep breath as he pulled a square, blue velvet box from his jacket pocket and opened it up to show a stunning emerald jewel and silver ring. "Natasha Romonoff, every day I wake up and still I can't believe how lucky I am to have such an inspirational, talented and beautiful woman beside me. I want to make you happy every day for the rest of our lives. The world is an ugly place, but you're the star that makes my world seem much brighter. Natasha Romonoff, will you marry me"? Clint grinned widely up at Natasha with ring in hand.

Natasha wiped away a tear that had made its way down her cheek before nestling in the crease of her open smile. "I never took you for the romantic type, Barton" Natasha chuckled before another joyful tear sloped down her cheek.

"Just shut up and say yes" Clint chuckled in response before a tear of his own crept its way down his cheek.

"Hell yes, Clint" Natasha smiled and laughed nervously as Clint slid the ring across her finger. The two of them exchanged "I love you" as they kissed and span on the beach, totally absorbed in their happiness and excitement for their future together. "We should get back to the parking lot, Gehan will be waiting" Natasha watched her new ring twinkle in the light of the moon as they headed back towards the parking lot. Just as she'd expected, Gehan was waiting patiently in his cab with a big smile plastered on his face. As they drew closer to the cab, hand in hand, Gehan got out of the cab to help them inside.

"Miss Natalie! Why have you been crying"? Gehan looked as if he were ready to burst into tears - his giant moustache pointing down as he frowned.

"They're happy tears, Gehan" Natasha wiped away the last tear underneath her eye as she got into the cab. Gehan looked even more confused as he got into the driving seat.

"How would you feel about being my best man, Gehan"? Clint smiled into the backseat mirror as he held up Natasha's hand to show him the ring. Gehan made a noise somewhere between a giggle and a squeal before starting the car and accepting the offer.

"Gehan, the best man. Hmm, it's got a very nice ring to it" Natasha acknowledged as she rested her head onto Clint's shoulder.

"Not nearly as nice as you though" Clint teased before kissing her forehead.

"Please, no more soppy stuff till tomorrow, otherwise I just might explode" Natasha fake groaned before intertwining her hand with Clint's.

"I love you, Tasha" Clint sighed happily as he tilted his head to face her.

"I love you too, Barton" Natasha smiled as they kissed. The two of them knowing that as long as they were together they could get through anything, including monsters and magic.

So, where do I begin? I've been writing this story for two year or so, and now it's finally complete. I'm not even ashamed to admit that I cried while writing the last chapter and the epilogue, because writing this fan fiction has been such a wonderful experience.

I would like to say thank you to every single person who had read this book from beginning to end and I am so grateful and lucky to have such kind, lovely people reading my work, voting it and leaving so many nice comments! I hope you enjoyed this book as much as I have enjoyed writing it!

Thank you all once again!
