Problematic

As agents, Natasha and Clint were used to the bare minimum sleep, and from that their natural body clocks woke them up usually early morning - before most American's were awake. Clint and Natasha woke at 5:02am, both deciding to use the time to stay in bed and simply talk, going over their big plan while occasionally going off on a tangent and talking about something that made the other fall in fits of laughter.

"So what was wrong with Harrison? He seemed like a catch" Clint smiled at Natasha as they lay under the bed covers.

"How do you know what he looks like, Barton"? Natasha quirked a brow before stretching her feet under the covers. Clint swore under his breath before smiling his usual charming grin, earning a giggle from Natasha.

"Well I had to make sure he was good enough for my, Natasha" Clint chuckled before rolling over on to his back. Natasha's stomach dropped at the sound of Clint calling her 'his', and the burning sensation in her cheeks was certainly exhilarating, but she pushed it away and slapped Clint's chest.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. He just wasn't my style, and I certainly was not his type of girl” Natasha sighed while rolling on to her back. "I really can't wait to be back at the apartment, to drink whiskey and just watch the same episode of 'Community' over and over again" Natasha laughed to herself, mentally wishing she could stay under the warm covers forever.

"I'd stay away from the whiskey, bad, bad things happen when whiskey is involved" Clint smirked into his pillow, watching Natasha's reaction.

"Bad, bad things"? Natasha turned to face Clint, propping her head up with her elbow.

"Oh I think you know what I'm referring to" Clint propped himself up to face Natasha.

"So what happened was bad, Clint"? Natasha sat up in the centre of the bed, smirking wildly. Clint chuckled darkly before sitting up to, feeling a sudden rush hit him.

"What we did was very bad Natasha, but the thing itself was mind blowing" Clint dared to edge a little closer, his smirk imprinted on his lips.

"Shame it was just a one off then wasn't it, Clint" Natasha cocked her head to the side while edging closer to Clint's face.

"Such an awful shame, Tasha" Clint didn't break his eyes away from Natasha, but he did tend to notice how his smirk had slipped and instead his pulse had quickened considerably. The tension in the room was thick, the hot air surrounding them would have been choking to any other one present  but the two of them seemed to be breathing just fine; albeit heavier and harder. After a short pause of which seemed to last forever, Natasha cut the silence.

"Well, I'm going to grab a shower, so feel free to order some eggs and coffee from room service" Natasha shuffled off the bed, feeling the pent up tension in her body almost weigh her down. Clint couldn't look away from her as she got up off the bed - he felt like a fully blown up balloon without being tied, and just when he thought he'd be tied, Natasha let the air go. Natasha felt a little concerned within herself moments before she entered the bathroom - something was stirring inside her mind.

When her and Clint's one off last week had occurred, Natasha easily resorted to blaming the actions and emotions all on the whiskey, but now, in a silent British bedroom, at 6:00am and completely sober, Natasha was feeling the heat more so than what she did previously. It was as if something in her mind was telling her it was okay, as if what she wanted to happen was meant to happen. Natasha stopped dead in her tracks before she entered the bathroom, took a deep breath and turned to Clint, who was still wrapped up in the blankets looking down at his hands.

"If things were different, Clint, it wouldn't just be one offs. But our friendship is too important to me, and sex and fucked up love ruin beautiful things like a good friendship. If there had been something before, then I would understand, but you know my morals and beliefs. Love is for children" Natasha sighed before going over to the bed and kissing Clint's cheek. Clint closed his eyes as she removed her hand from his stubble cheek and disappeared into the bathroom.
