Clint Barton
As we finally made it through the doors into the board room, the first thing I noticed was bustling company the room obtained. Tech workers were hopping about from one monitor to another, field agents were pacing the room waiting for demands and some form of action to conquer. Agents were tapping at inhumane speeds on their devices and calling across to different agents all over the room, and standing in the middle of it all was an irritated Fury.
At the clicking sound of the electronic doors shutting, Fury shot around to stare at Natasha and I, and our conjoined hands. His remaining eye darkened a tad as he stormed across the room. "I'm glad to see you two finally decided to join us and do your jobs" Fury spat.
"Nice to see you too" I couldn't help but smirk; I was the only person ever to exist to push Fury's buttons. When Director first found me and my talents, he soon realized that I wouldn't bow down to anyone - which inspired him to hire me. However, my smirk was soon wiped when Fury's anger grew like a wild storm right before my eyes.
"You think this is a joke, Agent Barton? I made it clear, I made it very clear to the both of you as well as the rest of assemble that during your period of rest you were to stay sharp. You two have let your feelings get the better of you, and you've both fraternized with a work colleague. If a single soul behind enemy lines here's about it, you've not only endangered yourselves, but you've endangered S.H.I.E.L.D. They can use your relationship to their advantage and play you both against each other. They can manipulate you both and S.H.I.E.L.D" Fury let out a frustrated sigh after his rant.
I looked over at Natasha, her face had whitened a tad and although she hid it well, I could see the guilt in her emerald eyes. Nat and I simultaneously unlinked hands, feeling rather uncomfortable under the scrutinizing eye of Fury. "We understand. We'll be more considerate and careful as of now" Natasha spoke on behalf of us.
"After our briefing, I want you both to head straight to the training gym, spend a few hours there then head back to your separate apartments. Is that clear, Agent Barton"? Fury locked his gaze on to me, his gaze so intense it made my skin crawl.
"Crystal, sir" I said through gritted teeth.

Natasha Romonoff
Director briefed us on the system crash, and the startling message from HYDRA. When he mentioned their name I didn't tense or break down, I just continued to listen to Fury. I was calm because Clint was there, his facial features showing tranquilly in full concentration.
"Now, we've already had our debates regarding said message, and we've done our research and background information. The tesseract first belonged to HYDRA, and even during the Captain's time the tesseract was a force belonging to them, they used it to upgrade their weapons and used it as a threat against nations" Fury began, before taking a break to sip from his cup of black coffee.
"But the tesseract in fact first belonged to the Asgardians" Clint piped in, tapping his fingers across the table.
"Ah, we've already discovered this fact long ago. It was lost during the last age, meaning for that period of time there were no rightful owners of the tesseract, and then the tesseract was later found in the 1940's by Johann Schmidt, who was a German SS officer the leader of HYDRA" Fury finished his coffee, looking rather smug at his own knowledge.
