Chapter 37

I opened my eyes, to see that it was already daytime. I looked at the Kai who was peacefully sleeping while he had an arm around my waist and I looked under my sheets.

Memories from the previous night started flooding my mind making my face red.

It wasn't a dream.

Since I've never been with someone else like that I always worried that one day this day will come for me and Kai.

Since for married couples it's expected of us to make love to each other.

Luckily, Kai was patient with me and never pestered or made comments about our current sex life.

Even yesterday he was patient with me and guided me if I wasn't unsure.

I'm not going to lie, I enjoyed this. I loved how Kai was a very considerate lover that made sure that I didn't feel unsatisfied.

To the point I wondered, isn't it too sinful to feel such pleasure with a person who isn't your soulmate?

It's unlikely that I will be able to get an answer.

I didn't want to spend more time lying in bed so I decided to move Kai's arm to go to the bathroom and take a shower.

Except, Kai's arm didn't budge and he pulled me closer and kissed the nape of my neck a few times.

"Running away?" Kai asked in a sleepy voice.

"Where would I run away?" I chuckled.

There was no need to run away for me anyway.

Kai hummed and hugged my waist a little tighter but it was still comfortable for me.

"Good point, but you should stay for more." Kai sleepily told me. I then turned to him.

"You know it's almost lunchtime?" I told Kai and he finally opened his blue and brown eyes.

"Really?" He asked and then confirmed it after he looked at the clock.

"Well, then we should get ready." Kai stood up and I could see his whole glory. Once again my face got red since I still didn't get used to it.

Kai boldly came to me and picked me up in bridal style.

"What are you doing?" I asked while I was startled.

"Before we get ready we need to take a shower," Kai explained while hiding some details.

"Together?"

"If we shower together, we can save water," Kai told me. I sighed at his silliness because there was no need for us to save water since we can afford it and Nauloria doesn't experience any water deficit.

Nonetheless, I didn't have the energy to disagree with him.

We carried me to the bathroom and from the bathroom's mirror, I could see what kind of marks I left on his back from the previous night.

I didn't know that I got very carried away last night.

Kai gently put me in the bathroom stall, turned on the water and tested the water before soaking me.

He took the shampoo and massaged my hair. I also made sure to reciprocate the gesture and also washed his hair.

"You are such a lovely wife that I don't think I might be able to hold on from starting round two." Kai purred and I giggled.

"Unfortunately, you would need to hold this because I don't have energy for the second round, my dear hubby." I apologetically yet firmly told him.
