(A/N: an absurdly short chapter)
"I agree. My master chose a suitable name for me," 'Kim Jaehyun' no, Cerberus who was in control Kim Jaehyun's body nodded.
"Speaking of your master..." Hanuel trailed off, aware of the fact that Cerberus would immediately understand.
Cerberus was indeed aware of what he truly meant, "I see, so that's what you wanted to speak to me about."
"It's very rare for a beast to answer the summons of an existence weaker than itself, especially a beast of your stature... after much speculation I realised something. Beasts like yourselves only move when danger is eminent."
Cerberus nodded as he interrupted Hanuel, "I'm afraid that even these heroes that Cyan has summoned will not be enough."
Hanuel asked, "what do you know about the calamity? Is it this Isolda and her army of corrupted humans?"
"I do not know the finer details, no one has attempted to look into the future after Arshnix did so, you know the consequences of taking such an action and the realm master is now bearing them. The remaining masters have decided to watch and see how things progress, if at all this unknown calamity poses a threat to the other realms, they will step in but if only Arshnix is in danger... I doubt they will move even a finger."
"Hence your appearance..." Hanuel mumbled.
Cerberus laughed, "I did not come here to save Arshnix, you're well aware of my disposition are you not? I live only for amusement, my new master is quite amusing and he just so happens to be in this realm, so I came."
"Surely you jest," Hanuel smirked, there was no way he came down simply to amuse himself.
"Of course," Cerberus shrugged, it was obvious his control over Kim Jaehyun's body wasn't perfect as his movements were awkward and jerky.
Hanuel noticed this, "I see, your new master isn't quite accustomed to you is he? No wonder your weapon form is incomplete, otherwise you'd not have snapped so easily."
"He'll learn eventually," Cerberus said with a chuckle, "now then, I want to ask you something and depending on your answer I will share with you the things that I do know."
Hanuel didn't think too much, "alright, I wonder what you, specifically, could possibly want to know from a messenger such as myself."
Cerberus calmly examined Hanuel, it looked as if he was searching for something within Hanuels face but what he was searching for Hanuel didn't know. Finally he asked, "will you help the mortals fight Isolda?"
Hanuel's answer came immediately, "I will not."
"And what is your reason for this?" Cerberus asked.
Hanuel smiled coldly, "shouldn't you be aware of what exactly 'messengers' are? We do not meddle in the affairs of humans."
Cerberus laughed, he laughed for quite a while when he heard what Hanuel had to say, "and yet how much 'meddling' have you already done?" Cerberus smiled as he asked, "you are an exception to the laws that bind 'messengers' and I'm well aware of that fact. Messengers draw their power from the realm master, in order to obtain that power there's a set of laws that constrain them, one of them being that they wouldn't selfishly meddle in the affairs of humans but tell me Hanuel, haven't you been meddling this entire time?
I do not know why exactly you are exempt from the restrictions but I can take a guess. Hence why I asked; will you, Hanuel, assist the humans?"
Cerberus had a knowing smile on his face.
Hanuel grumbled like a child at being exposed, "you old beasts are so perceptive, it's annoying."
"Well, regardless of what you will do, I doubt even the messengers will be able sit still when it all begins."
"Stop beating around the bush and just tell me."
Cerberus nodded, "fine I will tell you what I learned whilst in the beast realm," the expression on his face became grave and he said, "Isolda and her army are not the calamity they are just the beginning and if the humans can't fend her off then Arshinix is doomed." Cerberus shared the information that he obtained when he was on the beast realm.
When Hanuel heard the rest of what Cerberus had to say, he couldn't help but clench his fists and his face paled.

(Time for a little world building lesson that's long overdue. Since it's a surprise lesson, I won't ask for your notebooks🤓🤓)
There are seven known realms in existence.
Arshnix
Heiz
The forbidden realm —Earth
The beast realm —Geard
Zeffirel
Shearnan
And lastly Chaos.
When humans attempt to summon a beast they are directly calling to the existences on Geard who then respond and answer the summons. The creatures from that realm are different to the ones in all other realms.
High ranking beasts like legendary beasts and even the extraordinarily rare Mythical beasts can only be found there unless of course they traveled to another realm, on another note humans cannot live on Geard.
Amongst the millions of beasts on that realm they are divided into five clans, each clan is particular to an element and has a head known as a 'Beast Lord'.
One of these clans is the clan of Fire otherwise known as the Phoenix clan and Cerberus, the legendary beast that answered Kim Jaehyun's summons just happened to be the (now former) Lord of this clan.
There are somethings to be understood about 'beasts' before we continue.
Remember the theory that spirit exists in everything? Naturally it also exists in animals and of course beasts. 'Beasts' are different to 'animals'.
First we must understand what makes spirit unique to its species (not individual). The answer to that would be 'Essence'.
The spirit found inside a human would have the essence of a human. The spirit found inside a vegetable would have the essence of well a vegetable. The spirit found inside a dog—okay, we get it.
When a living organism dies, their spirit is released into the atmosphere where some of its properties are changed over time, but not it's intrinsic nature, it's essence.
So just like how the atmosphere on earth is actually a combination of different gases from nitrogen, oxygen and so on, the atmosphere on the other realms is not just a combination of gases but of spirit containing the essence of millions of organisms that lived and then died.
Thus unlike humans, animals can absorb any kind of spirit and adapt quickly to it. Not only do they absorb the spirit but also the essence. It's this essence that allows them to evolve, shedding their 'original' form and becoming something new. This is also the reason why beasts can develop human forms though the process of assimilating 'essence' is long and of course requires great amounts of said essence.
Different animals absorb different types of spirit so there are many creatures across all the realms that have yet to be discovered and have yet to be named.
To make things easier, the evolved creatures were simply classified according to their similar characteristics.
There are different classifications for these creatures, for example, the canicae refers to all canine species that have wings, another example would be the Arachnikai which refers to creatures that resemble spiders, having more than four limbs and two eyes.
Basically, any beast that starts from spirit beast rank going up is a hybrid of sorts and can no longer classify under its original species. That's why even though Eun looked like a Jaguar, she in fact isn't one and over time she has begun to look less and less like one.
(A/N: that's all for this little lesson, if anything was confusing please comment and I'll clarify!
Have a safe day!)
