Chapter 1

*Yel's POV*

Average? No. Normal? Definitel not! Typical? You're kidding me right?

Those words? Never in my vocabulary.

Rein Arielle Valencia, 16

I'm Rein at home, Arielle in school and Yel to my friends. I don't know but I feel like I'm the weirdest yet coolest girl in town. I like things which are actually really weird but I do things cool, sabi nila.

I love heights! I love adrenaline rush! Take me to any amusement parks and sasakay ako though mukhang delikado yung ride. Kahit yung cheapest and mukhang bibigay na talaga! It's the fun part there, for me anyway.

My friends don't know this but I do rock climbing. One time, my family and I went to this cool place--a rock edge. Which is I think 100ft. high (okay, I'm exaggerating) Sa baba are more rocks and the coldest water in the world! (okay, OA ako in everything so deal with it) It was a bit lame when we got there, sitting by the edge, mom and dad were drinking coffee, kuya glued his eyes on his phone 24/7 and my younger bro was playing with his iPad. We're on the coolest place on Earth and nothing cool was happening! So I kinda did something that made them, I don't know, made them think that I was going to die.

I JUMPED.

It was the coolest thing ever! The wind hitting my face as I go down and approach the freezing water, leaving my family mouth-open as they see me descend from that cliff. It was a chance of a lifetime! We're in a damn cliff, and what do people in movies do when they're in a cliff? RIGHT. I know what you're thinking already.

That's another thing about me, I love movies! All my inspirations are from the movies I ha

ve watched. Siguro naman obvious na na I'm a melodramatic person. Mabilis ako maiyak and matawa sa mga bagay-bagay.

Oh the irony.

We're not those rich type of families, but we aren't also poor. If you're thinking that we're at the middle class, even I don't know. Maybe between the middlle class and the rich ones, andun kami. Magulo pero, basta yun!

Ramon Valencia. Dad runs a company making machines for different brand names. He makes good money.

Analisa Valencia. Si mama naman, walang work, dati. Pero she managed to invest on something and now she's doing a business on bags. Online shopping and stuffs.

Rayver Ace Valencia. Kuya is 22 and is working on his masteral degree. Deanslister siya sa La Salle so di na ko magtataka kung ano mararating ni kuya. What I know is, proud kami sa kanya in everything.

Riley Anthony Valencia. He's 5 and just the cutest kid ever! At his age, lahat ng gadgets na pwede mong makuha eh meron siya. Well, bunso sya so yun.

They say that the worst part of highschool is the Sophomore years. I disagree! We all disgaree! The only batch who thinks this is the best is us! Yung pagkakadistribute ng students to different sections, sobrang perfect.

''Lunch guys!'' Avery yelled as soon as the bell rang. I was with my other friends, Jace, Tristan, Damian and Kyle.

''Wtf, he is so gay.'' Tristan said and the boys started laughing. ''Hey boys, quiet down he might hear you.'' I let out a smaall chuckle. ''--she.'' Kylie corrected.

Avery is actually a guy, but most of us or I think all of us thinks that he's gay, he just doesn't want to let it out. We know that Avery doesn't want to be called gay. He starts getting very mad and stomping his way. Very gay right?

''What are you laughing about?! Come on. Tables aren't going to wait for us.''

''Yes boss!'' The boys said altogether.

When we arrived at the canteen, Jane, Arian, Camille and Karmin were already there waiting for us. When we got to the table, Jace offered me a sit which most of the guys don't do anymore. ''Here you go, Arielle.'' Jace said pulling the chair. ''Thank you.'' I said smiling.

Our friends were looking at us suspisciously especially Karmin. The girls know that Karmin has a huge thing for Jace so seeing Jace offering me a sit is an ugly sight. To break the silence, Damian started teasing Jace about me.

''Jace, why didn't you offer me a seat? I'm so jealous right now.'' Damian said pouting and crossing his hands like a pathetic girl. If I know, that is Karmin's feelings right now.

''Shut up Dame!'' I feel awkward just listening to them teasing us knowing that Karmin is sitting just a ruler away.

Medyo madami kami in a group compared dun sa iba na may 4-5 members. TRISTAN, JACE, AVERY, DAMIAN, KYLE, JET AND SHIN for the boys and CAMILLE, JANE, ARIAN, KARMIN AND I for the girls. A dozen of awesome people on Earth! Obviously 5 yung girls, and lucky me ako lang ang walang bestfriend dun. Jane and Karmin are bestfriends since elementary, Camille and Arian are bestfriends for almost 3 years now. So I was kinda left out, well for the girls.

The guys are always there for me. No drama and stuff. Di sila tulad ng girls na sensitive and they will never talk behind your back because they tell it to your face. Kaya mas mabuti nga na sila na lang yung kasama ko. They're all just friends anyway.

RIIIIIIIINNNGGGG!!! Dismissal, yes!

''Bye guys, see you tomorrow!'' I said as I packed my stuffs while the girls were leaving with their BFF.

''Yel! Hatid na kita. Dala ko kotse ko eh.''

''Kotse? May lisensya ka Jace?''

''Wala, pero di naman nila makikita eh. Tara na!''

''Ano ka ba eh malapit lang naman sa school bahay ko noh.''

''Kaya nga ihahatid na lang kita.''

Grabe tong lalaking to. ''Sige na nga!'' Okay, napilitan ako.

Sobrang mapilit si Jace. Ayoko naman na ihatid pa nya ko eh. Baka makita pa kame ni Karmin at gilitan ako nun nang buhay! Ano naman kaya nakain ng mokong na to at sobra namang bait? Di to ganto ha! Jace is such a bully. Pero sa harap lang ng friends nya. Pag kayo na lang magkasama, he turns out to be nice.

Medyo traffic in front of the campus so nastuck pa kame for a few minutes. And to show off his new baby, Jace opened the roof of his car. Bakit ba ganun ang mga boys? Ang yabang pagdating sa kotse nila. They even call it their baby!

''Do you really have to open the roof?!'' Shit. Baka makita talaga kami ni Karmin nito eh.

''Of course! Dapat lang na makita nila na ako yung nasa loob ng dream car nila no!'' Yabang talaga, pero funny.

''Hello, nasa loob din ako!''

''Edi mas maganda, dalawang pangarap nila nasakin parehas.'' Wtf?! Ano sabi nya? Di na ko nakasagot after nun, pero I smiled. Nagblush siguro ako, I can feel my face turning tomato red.

''What the hell Yel! Namumula ka. Kinilig ka noh?''

''O-ooy! Ba-baliw. Di a-a-hh!'' I said stuttering. Obvious na obvious na kinilig talaga ako.

''Ha-ha, whatever you say princess.'' He said smirking. Ahhh, Jace! Why are you being sweet!

Still, mahirap pa din makalabas dahil sa sobrang dami ng services na naglalabas pasok ng campus. Ang dami nang nakakita samin ni Jace, even his barkadas from other sections were shouting at him that he's got a nice car. Then they start doing funny things with their eyebrows looking at Jace and looking at me. Wtf?! Ano ba iniisip nila?! Ihahatid lang ako ng mabuti kong kaibigan noh.

Oh shit, si Karmin yun!
