The rest of the day was fairly uneventful. With the Quirk Apprehension Test out of the way, classes were just the typical orientation and planning out the rest of the year. Soon, the bell rang, and the day was done.
"Now, since this is everyone's first day, I'll be escorting you all to your new living arrangements at the dorms," Mr. Aizawa announced, looking annoyed that he had to do extra work that day. "If you'll all follow me, we can get this over with." The class eagerly packed up and followed their teacher across the campus. None was more eager than Terra, though.
"This is so exciting!" Terra squealed with delight. "We get to move into the dorms! Living on our own! This is going to be an adventure!"
"How in the world do you still have energy?" Hiroto asked halfheartedly. "That test this morning was exhausting, and the rest of the classwork today sapped what little motivation I had left."
"Oh, come on Hiro-kun! Quit being so gray! Aren't you even a little excited?"
"The only thing I'm excited for is the chance to lock my door and be alone for the rest of the night. It's been a long day."
"Hmf! Killjoy." Terra crossed her arms and feigned frustration. Before long, the class had arrived at the giant building that would serve as their home for the foreseeable future.
"You're kidding . . ." Hiroto said, awestruck as he examined the building. "This is . . ."
"Welcome to Heights Alliance, building 1-A," Mr. Aizawa said as he opened the dorm. "This building has housed every Class 1-A since the dorm system was implemented. You will treat it with respect."
"Yes sir," the class responded in unison as their eyes began to wander around the massive common area.
"Your luggage and belongings have already been sent to your rooms, so please unpack and get situated. There will be a mandatory meeting in one hour back down here, so don't dawdle." With his instructions given out and the room chart posted, Mr. Aizawa slumped down into one of the couches and immediately fell asleep.
"A meeting?" Hiroto groaned. "Of course the rest of the day wasn't going to be easy." He leaned his head against the wall as he waited for the crowd around the seating chart to die down. Terra, of course, had already figured out her room and those of several of their classmates' as well.
"Oh, Hiro?" she approached with sly excitement. "I think I know what might get you excited."
"I sincerely doubt it."
"Really? Does 'Second Floor, Room 2' mean anything to you?"
Hiroto paused and thought. "Yeah, that was Uncle Izuku's room when he used to live here."
"Well now . . ." she leaned in, barely able to contain herself, ". . . it's your room."
Hiroto's eyes grew wide. "You're . . . serious?" Terra nodded with a big smile on her face. Without saying another word, Hiroto bolted toward the stairs and up to the second floor. He went to the second room and opened the door. Sure enough, there was his luggage and belongings, as well as a few things he didn't recognize. A few posters featuring one of the greatest heroes of all time, All Might, hung on the walls. On the desk, Hiroto found a note.
"Dear Hiroto," it read, "Congratulations on making it to the beginning of your journey to be a hero! I know you'll do a fantastic job. I left you some of the items that were an inspiration to me when I was living in the dorms. They're very special to me, but I know you'll take good care of them. Best of luck! I'll be keeping an eye on you! Best regards, Uncle Izuku."
A large smile spread across Hiroto's face as the support from his hero sank in. Maybe this wouldn't be so hard after all.
"Wow! Two smiles in one day?" Terra said, appearing in the doorway. "I guess miracles do happen!"
