"Hey Hun, Tiffany came by my office today." He paused, not
for her sake, but for his. He needed direction for his next
words.
Julianne arched her brow. She was interested in what he
had to say, but having another coach come into his office
was nothing new to her. He had hosted many coaches, both
male and female, in his office over the years. She took
another bite and waited for him to continue.
So Ethan continued, "She wanted to know if I'd be interested
in carpooling with her to save some money. I know the
school isn't very far from home, but I told her I didn't mind."
That didn't sound like enough reason, so he added a
sympathetic tone. "Just to help her out, you know."
Ethan began to squirm in his seat a little as he darted his
eyes around to each object on the table.
"She's suppose to meet me here in the morning to pick me
up. Said she'd take the first week's shift."
