Sam (l/n) POV:

"Sam how long before she fully transitions and is control of her powers?" Nick asks me

"Transition is complete when she decides it is, so either she overcomes it or something triggers it" I say not wanting to hurt her but I have to...

"what will be quicker?" Nick asks me watching y/n on the security camera she is hovering in the air slightly with her eyes white and palms glowing.

"well she could take ages to decide when to finish her transition but if we trigger it then it could be done a lot quicker" fury looks at me

"are you suggesting we torture your sister, my daughter?" he asks I smile sheepishly

"not necessarily torture but if we evoke some sort of strong emotion than that could work" I say as once her full potential is released Hydra will let me free. Which sounds awful but I have been running from them my whole life, so if I have to sacrifice her for it then I will do. But I will save her afterwards.

"right do you know if anyone else knows?" Nick asks I shake my head

"I don't think so but for triggering her emotion I have an idea for that just let me in with her alone and it will be done" I say he nods

"just get it done and don't hurt her" I smirk

"I will try not to" he glares making me laugh

y/n POV

ever since I discovered I could talk to the dead or I don't know what it is but I have been talking to mum about everything.

I hear a door open and I open my eyes and see f/n step in front of me

"f/n?" I ask she nods out of breath

"quick we don't have long lets get out of here, Hydra is here and they are coming for you" my eyes widen and I realize f/n is bleeding I go to run but my hands are still cuffed

"can you help me with the chains then?" I ask she laughs

"sure thing darling" I tilt my head in confusion f/n never calls me that I shrug it off

"ok lets go-" I look at f/n and see a hydra guard coming toward us with a gun, I notice f/n's lack of guns and armor and think that is stupid. But anyway I stand in front of her protectively the guard shoots and continues toward me. I dodge it my body filling up with energy and my hands starting to glow I go to shoot but before the blast can hit the guard f/n pushes me getting hit instead. My eyes widen in shock as she falls to the ground bleeding heavily from her chest, struggling to breath she turns to me

"F/N" I yell running to her and pulling her to my lap

"y/n how could y-you" she stutters I cry pulling him closer

"don't leave me, F/N!" I cry as her eyes turn glassy, emotionless. Before I can process anything else she burst out laughing

"I am sorry I can't this is too funny" she says I pull away from her and see that it is Sam sitting in my lap.

"what kind of sick joke is this" I say eyes turning white, Sam backs up

"I thought you killing your best friend would be enough to get you to unleash your full power, but clearly I was wrong" He says laughing I walk toward the door but Sam rushes to  me. I punch him and shut the door behind me locking him in

"enjoy this you sick bastard" I spit running out of the room and into the main HQ where I here yelling

"WHERE IS SHE, Nick god dammit she is your daughter" I hear Tony yell I relax at the sight of him and f/n I run to them but agents stop me I glare at them, but they start pushing me back

"TONY! OVERHERE TONY. F/N I AM OVER HERE" I yell they both look over at me and Tony runs past Nick and pushes the guard away from me I hug him

"Tony I am so sorry I hurt you, I didn't mean to" I sob he brushes his hand through my hair 

"its ok shh, your ok" I then push away from him

"wait are you real? Sam just pulled a stunt on me so I don't know what is real or no so uh tell me something only you and I would know" he looks at me shocked but nods

"ok um when you were 'rain' you called about getting a bullet wound in your leg and when I heard Fury's voice I asked if he was your boyfriend" I laugh relieved and hug him again. He relaxes and hugs me back.

"come lets get you home, I saw your lab too by the way very impressive" I laugh I look at F/n who runs to me and hugs me talking me from Tony.

"y/n..." Nick says I look at him with hurt in my eyes

"if you had let me talk I would have told you that we think Sam is with Hydra so you deal with him, find out the truth" I say exhausted. He nods sadly I look away and take f/n's arm linking it with mine. And walking out to the car.

"I am assuming you know everything" I asked while we were driving home, f/n looks sheepishly whilst Tony's eyes widen

"yes and I didn't think you were an engineer?" he says excitedly I laugh 

"well not really I just was wiring and fixing up some of the old equipment" I say shrugging f/n laughs at me

"anyway what did they do?" F/n asks 

"Sam just made it out to Nick that I was loosing my mind, and OH I discovered that I can talk to like dead people" I say making Tony look at me confused

"are you sure you have not gone mental?" I hit his chest playfully
