Maira laughed as she made herself visible again to Zravroth's sight.
"

You know him, don’t you…?" she smiled, flipping her dagger to a different position in her hand.

"Of course I do, but don’t expect me to tell you." grinning, she became one with the wind again and vanished. "I can't believe you would think I would tell you." her voice said, echoing through the air. "Now do me a favor and go back through the portal you came out of, and get your ass out of here." Maira snarled. She appeared out of thin air behind him and shoved both blades of her daggers into his back, and tackled him onto the ground. To her surprise, the wound closed back up around the knives and forced themselves out of his back. She quickly jumped off, lowering her ears as she stood on all fours, hissing. Zravroth stood, and turned his head to face her.

"Feisty kitten, aren't you? Too bad nobody was around to teach you the true meaning of power." he raised his arms, summoning shadow spears that surrounded him. They turned in Maira's direction and began racing towards her. She yelped and leaped out of the way, but they still chased after her. Turning invisible with the wind, she raced to safety, and the spears disappeared. Feeling lightheaded, she reappeared in front of Zravroth, on her knees not being able to use her powers anymore. It was tiring, she needed to learn how to control it better. Zravroth picked her up by the neck and scowled at her.

"I would have killed you, but you've shown me you can be much more valuable alive," he said. Maira coughed, as Zravroth dropped her. She opened her eyes and looked up at him.

"So now what? You're just going to toy with my mind? Use it for your own purposes just because you're too weak to do this shit all by yourself? Let me guess, Aiden's been beating your ass? Pathetic, really pathetic." Zravroth just smiled.

"Oh trust me, I can do this by myself. Just what can a little more power hurt?" he grabbed her head, and she screamed in pain, not being able to move anything in her body.

"NO! STOP-"

"MAIRA!" tears fell from her eyes, and she sighed in relief as Drakon's hold was released. Then she fell to the ground, unconscious.

Maira had known Aiden for a long time, ever since she was very young. He had tried to get Maira to come with him, so he could protect her from what was coming, but she said what she always had every time he came back. "I'm not ready." Maira had no choice now. After this experience, she would have had to say yes. She wasn’t able to defend herself all on her own, she needed help.
