~you have been the last dream of my soul, a dream, all a dream, that ends in nothing. Think now and then that there is a man who would give his life to keep a life you love beside you~
I had to take off my jacket to put the hoodie on, all the hoods up and the masks on. The eye holes perfectly fit in line with my eyes making it clear for me to see. The bow that Henry gave to me in my left hand the arrows across my back in the quiver and the hoodie up along with the mask.
"So, Henry," I start as he turns left. "I know your name is Henry, but it obviously isn't your "common" name that everyone knows you for."
"Smart girl," he smiles slightly stepping over a stick. "Slade Willson is the name I go by or just Slade."
"Huh, Slade," I stop as he holds his hand up stopping us and we all duck behind a bush.
"I thought you said no one would get in our way," James snaps.
"They won't. I just need to make sure no one will notice that you 5 aren't in the Justice League," Slade explains.
"Wait," Gab says. "There's others?"
"Of course you douche," Lucie laughs so does Gab.
"We spread out during a day then at night we meet up again at the beach to warn each of us about anything dangerous."
"Ah, correction, everything's dangerous," I point out.
"Right, I know I have been here for 20 years," Slade smirks a little. "But it's to tell us if anything has... "changed"."
Slade then stand up glancing at us then nods and we continue onto flat ground, ahead of us is totally flat land of grass and people who are in the same as us are walking cautiously.
"That's what we do, and we protect the island from anymore danger," Slade explains as we pass a person who glares at us but continues walking towards the woods. "Don't look at anyone."
My heart was racing, where exactly are we going? I may have went to boot camp but if I need to use this bow, I won't hit anyone. Never have. Never will. I fall behind now walking next to Edmund.
"Do you know where we are going?" I whisper to him avoiding gazes.
"Hopefully to mum and dad."
"Hope so too," I say speeding up to go next to Slade who still walks straight then turns right towards the trees.
"Slade?" I ask quietly. "Where are we going?"
"To Deathstrokes camp," he bluntly says not turning to look at me.
"What?! Why?" I stop walking.
"Emma!" He says. "It's fine. Him and I have a truce if he breaks it, I'll break it too."
"Trusting you," I mutter storming off after him.
