~a book is a dream that you hold in your hands~
2 weeks later-

I sit on the small box that sits my bow inside, it has been around 2 weeks since I've been here and I have learnt a lot from Slade and my skills have improved a thousand times better. Today is the day we escape. Today is the day I will go find my father. We searched every single bit of this island but no luck, Deathstroke was only seen once since last time. He walked straight past, but not without a glare to Gabriel. We are all now called by our league names and I kind of like it. I stand up turning around and opening the box. I take the hoodie out and bringing it over my head, I gently grab the mask and set it on my face, my eyes seeing clearly through the holes. Then, I pick up the quiver, clipping it to my back and grabbing the bow.
"Ready?" Slade asks. "Remember what I told you, if anyone-and I mean anyone-gets in your way, you shoot." Slade spent a very long time explaining what I need to do because he isn't going due to this is his home.
"I remember," I say forcing a smile.
"Be brave," Slade puts his hand on my shoulder. "You ready?"
"Yes," I lie. I'm not ready. I regret coming to this island because there is only one way off, but I don't regret it because 1) I found my mum. And 2) I met Slade, who made me stronger than I'll ever be. Edmund, James, Lucie and Gab are still putting their masks on and my mum is at my side.
"Go," Slade says. "Get off this island and be safe again." he quickly hugs me and the others.
Then we run.
I lead the way, through the trees and onto the beach, I found out the other day that the top of the submarine is only about 1 meter in the water so if we walk around to the end of the rocks that are close to the end of the sub, we could easily get on. But it is too far from the rocks to swim, so out of wood, Slade and the league helped build a boat that is already at the rocks in the water.
I slow down to climb the rocks with my bow over my shoulder so it won't fall. I get to the boat and jump on, once the others are on I use the paddle sticks to paddle the distance between the rocks and the end of the sub, it hits the sub and I jump off sprinting along the top, skidding the water around me. I don't dare to look back to see if the others are close behind incase I fall. I finally stop at the metal sealed door and turn to the others who are now stopped and close.
"Ready?" I ask and they all nod stiffly. I turn slowly and open the door the way Slade taught me.
