Old friends make the best girlfriends
- Turtles all the way down

Regulus Black, aged 9, was bored. When he confided so in his older brother Sirius, the elder Black had the amazing idea to venture into the muggle world while breaking about a thousand rules their parents set for them.
"What if mother and father find out?" Regulus hissed as they walked along the streets of their muggle neighborhood. Despite living there for their whole lives, neither of the brothers had ever come out into the muggle world.
"They won't." Sirius said carelessly, a reckless gleam in his eyes. "And if they do, I'll take the blame. After all, it is my idea."
"I don't want you getting hurt." the younger boy mumbled, trotting after his brother into an empty playground which wasn't entirely empty.
"Sshh! " Sirius shushed him silently and Regulus immediately stopped his rambling to see what Sirius was looking at.
A girl with blonde hair and light blue eyes which resembled the sky on a warm summer day, or the sea with its waves splashing serenely onto one's skin. She had a jolly aura around her which comforted the two brothers.
She was swinging high on the swing, the wind whipping her hair. Peals of laughter escaped her lips as she swung higher. Sirius bravely made his way into view, dragging Regulus along with him.
"Hello there, miss! " He called as the girl looked at him in surprise. She abruptly jumped off the swing, causing the brothers' eyes to widen, thinking she'd break a bone or two. She merely dusted her shirt and stood up in front of them.
"Hello," she eyed them curiously. "I haven't see you both around. Are you new?"
"No, we just don't come around often." Sirius informed. "You don't seem to be from Britain." He added, noticing her accent.
The girl smiled lightly. "Oh, I am from Britain but our family moved to California when I was about three."
"American girl. That explains the aura of sophistication." Sirius smirked.
"Aura of sophistication?" She repeated, amused. "I just jumped off a swing — which was pretty high in the air, I might add — some would call that reckless. You call that sophistication, do you?"
Sirius laughed. "How old are you?"
"About nine. What your name?"
"I'm Sirius."
The girl nodded and looked at the younger brother expectantly. Regulus cleared his throat and answered, "I'm Regulus Black."
"He's my younger brother." Sirius added.
"I see." She smiled, holding a hand out for Regulus which surprised the boy but he shook it nonetheless. "Pleasure meeting you Regulus and Sirius Black." She said mock-formally. "I'm Sky Greene. Odd name, don't question it."
Little did the brothers know, that Sky Greene would change their lives, their beliefs, and the way they viewed the world. For better or for worse, only time would tell.
