I still remember the feeling I felt when I first started talking to you.

Regulus Black, aged 15, was bored. He walked alone along the streets of his muggle neighborhood. He hadn't trotted down this road in a long time. He stared at the playground which held so many fond memories. He knew that going in there would give him no peace.

But he wasn't searching for peace. He was searching for memories. For proofs that they had lived, that they had been with him and accepted him. That all of those memories he held locked up in his heart weren't just dreams he had cooked up.

So, he walked in, hiding among the bushes like he had years ago. And just like last time someone was sitting on the swing. Except this time, it wasn't swinging high into the air. There was no joyous laughter of the girl he so dearly missed, no creaking of the swing. Just silence.

And so, he peeked out to see who sat and saw her

Sky Greene was sitting on the swing which was swaying lightly, her blonde hair hung over her face. Her face was pale and gaunt, dark circles making a permanent mark under her eyes. Her eyes, the ones Regulus loved and found comfort in, no longer resembled the sky or the sea. Her bright blue orbs which held curiosity and a need for finding adventure, looked dead.

She wasn't looking up, wasn't swinging, wasn't laughing as the wind whipped her hair. She was staring fixedly at the ground, her foot touching the ground and unconsciously making patterns on the sand.

Regulus took a deep breath and walked up in front of the swing, his arms around over his chest, as he cleared his throat.

Sky Greene looked up at him, her face emotionless although her eyes betrayed a hint of surprise. "Well, this feels like déjà vu."

Regulus scoffed, taking a seat on the swing next to her, his fingers grabbing hold of the metal chains that hung from the top of the swing set. "The first words you say to me in four years."

Sky shrugged, her gaze turning back to the ground. "For the use of better words, how are you?"

The Black boy looked at the girl next to him, his head tilting as if she was a puzzle he couldn't figure out. "I could be better." He said carefully.

"That makes two of us." Sky spoke monotonously.

"You never told me you were back."

"Hard to, when I have no idea where you live."

Regulus pursed his lips, forgetting that she didn't know about the magical world or anything related to it. "When did you get back?"

"Start of the summer." She answered, picking on her nails. "You look... grown up."

A ghost of a smile made its way onto his face. "Grown up?" He echoed.

"You know..." She looked him up and down, making vague gestures with her hands. "Taller. You've gotten rid of all that baby fat. High cheekbones, sharp jawline, amazing hair. You got the whole package, didn't you Black?"

"Is that your way of calling me handsome?" Regulus asked cheekily.

"No." Sky shook her head. "Its my way of calling you hot."

Regulus opened his mouth the answer but he was rendered speechless. Color rushed up his cheeks as he shyly looked down, cursing at Sky's ability to fluster him even after years of separation.

Sky looked at him in amusement, although there was no smile on her face. "Not so grown up, then? I was afraid I had lost my touch to make you blush like a little girl. Thankfully I didn't."

Regulus gave her a look and she turned away. "You look good too." He complimented.

"Thanks." They sat in silence for a few moments, listening to the crickets chirp loudly as the stars made their way into the night sky.

"How's Sirius?" Sky broke the silence and Regulus' face hardened into something that resembled pain and fake-hate.

"I don't know." He said coldly. "He ran away."

Sky looked surprised at this but then remembered all the times Sirius had expressed how miserable he was with his family and how he hated them. He always made sure that Regulus never heard them and made her promise to not tell him.

"Oh."

Regulus gulped, not wanting to talk about his older brother but Sky seemed to have no interest in talking about Sirius. In fact, she seemed to have no interest in anything at all.

"How are Mr. and Mrs. Greene?" He asked, desperately trying to fill up the silence which had turned tense. "Does Mr. Greene still do statistical analysis or whatever that was?"

Sky let out a shaky breath as her hands shook slightly. "No." She whispered. "Not anymore."

"How are Michael and Abigail?" Regulus asked, mentioning to her siblings.

Sky stood up harshly, wrapping her coat tighter around her body. "You know, its late. I should be back at my house. It was good seeing you Regulus, hope to see you again."

Regulus stood up too, confused. "Yeah, it was good seeing you too. Should I walk you back home?"

"That won't be necessary." She said icily. "Goodnight, Regulus."

"Goodnight Sky." He watched as she stowed her hands in her pockets and walked away. At the entrance of the playground she looked back at him, waving. He waved back and she disappeared from view.

Regulus had a feeling Sky wouldn't go home.
