There has to be a reason why we stumbled into one another. Someone like you is no accident.

Sky buried her hands in her pockets as she walked through the streets of Hogsmeade while Nicole gave them a tour. Josh was clearly not listening as he excitedly tore through his Zonko's stash.

"This is an integral part of Hogsmeade and whenever you visit you must — I repeat — must  try the butterbeer it has to offer." Nicole pointed to a bar named The Three Broomsticks.

"Ooh, looks cozy." Josh grinned. "Jordan, someone's waving at you."

Nicole frowned and looked at what Josh was pointing at. "Sam! " She ran up to the man, and flung her arms around him while Sky and Josh awkwardly hovered behind. "Sky, Josh, this is my annoying brother Sam." Sam scowled at his sister. "And they are my friends."

"Nice to meet you." Sam smiled at the pair.

"How about you catch up with your brother, Nic?" Sky said kindly. "We'll navigate our way through."

"Are you sure?" Nicole asked hesitantly.

"Yup, we got it covered." Josh nodded. Nicole smiled thankfully and trotted away with her brother by her side.

Sky turned to Josh. "So... the Three Broomsticks?"

Josh shrugged. "As you say, Sky Greene." He held out his arm for her to take which she promptly ignored. Josh rolled his eyes and followed her.

"If it isn't the foreign freaks." The two turned to face a gang of Slytherins jeering at them. Well, all except one who had his grey eyes glued to the floor.

"These are the people who hexed me! " Josh whispered. He looked freaked out but Sky merely looked at them as if they were a mildly interesting side show.

The Slytherins were the typical snotty rich boys who pretended to own the school and that they were the biggest threat Hogwarts could face. Sky highly doubted that but she somewhat believed the rumor that they were Death Eaters in the making.

"How can we help you?" Sky asked in a bored tone.

The bulkiest of the lot, Mulciber he was called, stepped forwards. "We just wanted to say hello." He said innocently.

"Innovative way, I must say. Now that we're done with saying hello, how about we say goodbye?"

"Ooh," Another one swaggered towards the pair. "Feisty one, aren't you?"

Sky shrugged. "Bored of you now, thank you." She turned around when Mulciber grabbed her wrist and spun her around to face him. Josh pulled out his wand and brandished it at the Slytherins. Sky gave him a warning look, signaling him to not attack just yet.

"Leave her alone Mulciber," Regulus started calmly, a light tone in his voice but he seemed to be ignored. "She's just a newbie."

"Things might have been different from where you come," Mulciber growled, still holding a vice-grip on her wrist. "But we're the ones in charge here."

"Really?" Sky blinked at them. "Nah, I don't think so. If you wanted to let us know you were in charge when you were actually in charge you would do it in the Great hall. In front of witnesses."

Sky pulled her wrist away from him, giving him her infamous death glare. "Hope to never see you again, bye-bye."

She walked towards the Three Broomsticks and Josh hurried after her. "You okay?" He asked in concern.

"Uh-huh." Sky nodded. She cradled her wrist in her hand, noticing a bruise forming from where Mulciber had had his grip. "I'm fine Josh, stop worrying."

Josh opened the door to the bar and Sky headed to a booth while he bought butterbeers. "Are you sure you're fine?" The Gryffindor asked, as he passed her a butterbeer.

"Yes." She pressed, nodding firmly.

"You totally kicked their arses." Josh grinned.

"After all, I am Sky Greene." She said dramatically, smirking.

"Hi." Regulus greeted hesitantly and Sky looked up from the piles of books around her. She was sitting in the library, desperately scanning through books to find an answer to her Herbology homework.

"What are you doing?" She furrowed her eyebrows.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm sitting." He sat in front of her.

"Thank you for that, captain obvious." Sky rolled her eyes. "I mean what are you doing here?"

"I believe," Regulus snatched her quill from her and she gave him a look, reaching up to take it back. "I owe you an apology for what happened in Hogsmeade."

"Wasn't your fault." Sky shook her head. "You aren't responsible for your friends' actions."

Regulus cringed. "Uh — they aren't my friends. I just — I'm just around them because the other alternative is being alone."

"I feel so loved."

"Hey, you just showed up this year. I've been here way longer and I've been lonely. I'd rather hang out with douches than be alone, because — trust me — it sucks."

Sky pursed her lips. "I mean, I'd rather be alone than be surrounded with people I dislike. Personal opinion, I suppose."

"Does that —" He pointed to her wrist. "Hurt?"

"A little." She admitted. "But I'll be —"

Sky was cut off when Regulus shut her books and forced her to stand up. "What are you doing?! I have to finish this by tonight! "

"We are going to the kitchens and having some ice-cream because that is like a medicine for you."

"Ignore my previous complains." Sky said happily as she skipped behind him.
