Two days later, Carina was up and making breakfast at 7:30 am. She was pretty sure Maya wouldn't be up for a few hours, the blonde having woken up twice last night with nightmares.

However, Andy was coming over this morning before Robert went in for his shift, and Carina wanted to have something for her to eat just in case. She also wanted to make sure Vic had something before she went to work.

"Carina, you are literally the best," Vic said, coming out of her room.

"It is just breakfast," Carina shrugged, "Besides, I could give you a piece of cardboard with hot sauce on it, and you would be happy."

"You're not far off," Vic said, shrugging as she took a bite.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. Carina checked through the peep hole, letting Andy and Robert in a minute later.

"Hello," Carina smiled, "Come on in. I have French toast and eggs, for you too, Robert, if you want."

"How could I say no to your French toast?" Robert said, having been invited over for breakfast a few times to enjoy Carina's famous breakfast after a long shift.

"Are you feeling up to some, Andy?" Carina asked.

"Sure," Andy nodded, clearly exhausted, but not about to pass on breakfast.

The four of them ate, everyone turning as they heard a noise.

"Maya," Andy said, smiling at her friend as Carina got up, going to her.

"Hey," Maya said, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

"Would you like some breakfast?" Carina asked as she guided Maya to the table, Vic moving down so Maya could have the seat next to her girlfriend.

"Sure," Maya nodded, not totally sure she was hungry, but too tired to say no.

"We need to get going," Vic said, looking at the clock.

"We can drive in together," Sullivan offered, "I have to come back tomorrow anyway."

"Sure," Vic nodded, taking one more bite of food before grabbing her jacket and mask.

"I'll see you tomorrow," Robert said, giving Andy a gentle kiss, "I'll call later?"

"Be safe," Andy nodded, "Love you."

"Love you too," he said, giving her one more quick kiss before following Hughes out the door.

"It's good to see you home, Maya," Andy said, smiling at her friend.

"It's good to be home," Maya nodded, coughing a little, "Sucks that you still feel so bad."

"Yeah," Andy nodded, "I'll be fine, eventually. How are you feeling?"

"Like I need a nap," Maya said, pushing her food around her plate, "And I have literally been away for half an hour.

"Honestly, me too," Andy said, yawning.

"Alright," Carina said, coming back to the table, "Both of you need to drink a glass of something and then go sleep."

"Water," Maya said, "Please."

"Do you have any orange juice?" Andy asked, Carina already pulling the carton out of the fridge.

Both women drank their respective beverages before getting up.

"Andy, if you need anything, just text me," Carina said as she helped Maya into their room, "I am around all day."

"Thanks," Andy smiled, going down the hall into the guest room.
