Juvenile Delinquents

Episode Seven

{Same day as Episode Six}

I quickly grow bored in the cabin, not even finding entertainment on my phone. I leave the cabin and join the rest of my team at the bonfire. I go over and sit on Duncan's lap. His arms wrap around my waist as I lean back into his chest. Everyone is sitting in silence until Bridgette brings Sadie back to us. We all look over at them. Sadie is still sobbing and has a piece of a broken plank in her arms, which I can only assume is the dock.

"It was a long goodbye," Bridgette says, sitting Sadie down on a stump before sitting on her own.

"What do you guys want? Come to rub it in," Courtney says.

I look over to see all of the Gophers standing there.

"We got some extra dessert after our Tuck shop party and thought you might want some," Trent says.

"So, what, you're just being nice?" Courtney questions.

"Okay, Owen stunk up our cabin, and we need some time to air out," Gwen says as Owen farts.

"Ew, dude," Trent says.

Beth comes over with a green jello dessert and offers it to Courtney.

"NO! I mean, no thanks," Courtney says.

"What? Are you on a diet or something?" Duncan asks, resting his head on my shoulder.

"I think she's scared of it," I snicker, making Duncan chuckle

Courtney glares at us. "No! I just don't like green jelly, okay," she says.

"Whatever you say, princess," I say, rolling my eyes.

Beth brings it over to us and DJ, "Snake!" DJ yells, hitting the plate away, making it land on the ground.

"Chill, dude, it's just a gummy worm," Cody says, pulling the gummy worm out of the jelly.

"Sorry for tripping. Snakes just freak me out," DJ says.

"I feel you. Chickens give me the creeps dude," Tyler says.

We all look at him like he's crazy. Seriously though, who is afraid of chickens?

"You're afraid of chickens?" Gwen asks, dumbfounded.

Duncan chuckles. "Wow, that's... that's really lame man,"

/ "So, Tyler got a lot less manly, not that he was manly, to begin with. After that, everyone started to share their fears. Beth is scared of bugs, Harold is scared of ninjas, and Heather is scared of sumo wrestlers. These people are crazy!"/

"What's my biggest fear? I guess being buried alive," Gwen says.

"Walking through a minefield in heels," Lindsay says.

"Flying, man. That's some crazy stuff," Owen says

"Oh, I would never go up in a plane. Never," Izzy says.

To think Izzy, of all people, is scared of something. I mean, she's crazy.

"I'm scared of hail. It's small but deadly dude," Geoff says.

"Being left alone in the woods," Bridgette says.

"Bad haircuts," Sadie says, still crying.

"Oh! Okay, I change mine! That's sooo much scarier than a minefield!" Lindsay says.

"Having to defuse a time bomb under pressure," Cody says after thinking about it.

"I'm not really scared of anything," Courtney says proudly.
