Bridgette shakes me awake, "Sarah come on, you have to get up," she complains.
"Do I have to?" I ask, sitting up, rubbing my eyes.
"Yes, Sarah, now hurry up! I bet Duncan is waiting for you," she teases.
I slip out of bed, "Ha Ha Ha," I fake laugh, "You make it sound like I'm obsessed with him," I say, throwing on a dark gray hoodie with a white skull covered in flowers that says, Losing My Mind.
"You can be," she shrugs, putting her hair up.
"I guess that's fair," I say, slipping into some black jeans and layering my hoodie with a dark green/blue flannel. Bridgette and I finish getting ready and walk to the beach where everyone is gathering. Duncan waves at me, and I walk over to him, smiling.
"Hey, baby," he says, kissing me lightly.
I giggle, "Hey babe," I say, kissing him back.
So far, Duncan's and my relationship has been pure bliss. It has been everything I imagined it would be. We've still been super flirty, teasing each other, having fun being us. But we also have our lovey-dovey moments.
Duncan wraps his arms around my waist while I lean back against him.
Once everyone shows up, Chris starts talking. "Today's challenge will test your minds, your teamwork, and your skills in the kitchen. You'll be cooking a three-course meal and serving it to me for tasting. The winners get a reward. The losers will send somebody home. Each team will appoint a head chef to create the theme of the meal and oversee the cooking. To cook, you need ingredients. Every morning a truck brings us food. Today's task starts there." He says as a truck pulls out of the water.
DJ and Geoff open the doors and look inside. "We can do a killer Italian theme!" Geoff says.
"Hello, head chef!" Duncan says.
"Seriously?!" Geoff says excitedly. Duncan nods and looks into the truck, "Then let's get grabbing!" Geoff says.
We get into the truck and grab all the ingredients we'll need. After we get out of the truck, the Gophers go in. We carry everything into the kitchen and set it on the counters. Geoff stands in the doorway, tossing a can in the air and catching it.
"Okay, so we got like three courses and seven people. So everyone partner up," Geoff says, throwing the can at Harold.
"I know how to make pasta sauce," DJ says.
"I know how to boil pasta," Bridgette says, her and DJ high-five.
"Me and Sadie can rock the antipasto. I'm like a black belt when it comes to cutting cheese," Harold says. We all laugh, "What?" Harold asks, "What?" He looks around at us.
"I'm making dessert! I love baking," I say.
"I guess that means I'm helping you out," Duncan says, kissing my cheek, causing me to giggle.
"Wait, what about me?" Courtney asks.
"I guess you could team with Duncan and Rowdie," Geoff says.
"Oh no. No way," Courtney says.
"Come on, Courtney, for the team," Geoff says.
"Um, no thanks, I'm with Courtney on this one for once. She can pair with another team," I say.
"Come on, babe. You can work with her for one challenge," Duncan says.
I look at him, "Seriously,"
"Pleaseeeeeee," he says, trying to look innocent.
