Bridgette and I are hanging out in our cabin, enjoying peace and quiet. Since Eva is gone and Leshawna has her trailer now, it's the quietest it's been since we moved into the Gophers cabin. I'm currently laying in bed watching Youtube and writing while Bridgette is messing around on my laptop.
A loud explosion rings out, catching our attention. "ARR mateys! Meet me at the amphitheater in five minutes, and I'll tell you about today's challenge," Chris's voice calls out over the loudspeakers with a bad, what I assume is a pirate accent.
Bridgette and I wrap up what we are doing and head to the amphitheater. She takes a seat by Geoff while I sit with Duncan. Chris and Chef are up on the stage wearing pirate costumes, something covered in a white cloth sits between them. As we wait, Leshawna shows up with her bags, which are smoking. Duncan and I look at each other. I guess her trailer is what blew up.
"Well my little scallywags, have we got adventure in store for Ye," Chris says continuing his bad accent as his fake parrot falls over
"What's under the sheet!" Geoff calls out.
"All in good time, laddie. Who here has a hankering for a good old-fashioned treasure hunt?" Chris asks. No one responds to him. "Now this treasure hunts got a twist mateys! What you're looking for isn't treasure," Chris continues.
"If there's no treasure, then what's with the eye patch and plastic parrot?" Duncan asks unamused.
"Arr, shiver me timbers," Chris says, tossing the parrot to the side. "Good question me, boy. You're looking for the keys to a treasure chest," He continues as Chef pulls the cover off, revealing three chests. "Inside each of these chests is a treasure that will pamper you, land lovers. And one of these chests will even give you invincibility. Ha-har!" Chris laughs, "Now come around and pull a clue out of this bucket, or you'll have to walk the plank,"
We all walk up and grab a 'clue' out of the bucket. I look at mine to see a picture of a cliff, which I can only assume is the cliff we had to jump off when we first got here.
"Uh-uh bear?" Owen stammers.
"I was hoping you'd get that one dude," Chris says, "Ha-ha Chef's fridge, nice," He continues pointing to Heather's clue. "I hear he brushes it daily for fingerprints," Heather frowns, "That there is the septic tank for the washrooms," Chris says, coming up behind Geoff, Bridgette, and I. "Rowdie, looks like your going rock climbing," Chris smirks at me. I frown, fucking hell. Bridgette gives my hand a quick squeeze, I look at her, and she gives me a supportive smile.
/"This seriously can't be happening! He definitely rigged this for me because of that stupid phobia challenge! I don't know how I'm going to get out of this one." I say putting my head in my hands/
"All you scallywags, go find your keys and bring them back by 6:00 pm Eastern Standard time to open up the chests and get your loot. Fare thee well, young scallywags. Now get to it!" Chris yells, sending us off.
I look over at Bridgette, "What did you get?" I ask her.
"Mine just has a bunny on it," She says.
"At least it's easier than mine," I sigh. Duncan comes over to us, "What did you get, babe?" I ask.
"Ring of fire, no big deal," He shrugs.
"Dammit! Why did I get stuck with rock climbing! Can we trade please," I ask both of them.
Before they could answer, Chris responds. "No can do Rowdie! You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit!" He calls through a megaphone. I turn and flip him off.
"God Damnit!" I exclaim.
"What's so wrong with yours? I think Geoff has it worse," Duncan says, "Besides, I thought you know how to rock climb," He points out.
