chapter 30. the hospital

Entering the hospital is the heaviest step I took after a very long time. Even with my mask on the smell, the hospital smell hit very strong which almost make me wanna puke. It all feels like yesterday. Yet My memories old they seems fresh. Blue uniforms and white walls which I despise the most.

The colour white is blinding me. It's one of the strongest reason I love black to death. Tae is constantly checking on me squeezing my hand to tell me that he's here for me and I really appreciate it. Even though my mind is in lot of Denial and a bit unstable I managed to give him a faint smile before we walk over to the reception desk.

"How can I help you" the receptionist asked with a sweet smile which just make me wanna leave the place. Tae cleared his throat

"we have an appointment " tae answered.

"Oh, please , your details .." she asked with the same smile. Noticing my stilled body tae gave her an awkward smile before pulling me closer and lean over to my ear

"relax cupcake... I'm here... Now tell her the deets" tae whispered.

I brought back to reality jolting a bit then filled the receptionist real quick. She gave us the directions to my appointed doctors room and we get going.

I tried not to look at any rooms or patients or simply people I fixed my gaze to the ground holding Tae's hand just following him like a puppy. We stopped at a door facing it.

I slowly look my eyes onto to the door which read Dr. Park SEO Joon. And then I met Tae's eyes which already looking at me. I gulped which didn't go unnoticed by him.

"It's fine cupcake... You got this...." He softly said with an encouraging pat on my back. I suppressed my Anxiety nodding and rang the bell. A moment later the door got a green signal telling us to enter.

A fair man wearing an apron reading the same name as plastered out the door earlier. Hands rested on the table clasped and smile never leaving. We too gave him a fake smile sitting in the chairs.

"Helloo Ms. Olivia, I'm dr. Park SEO Joon" he introduced himself.

"Hello" I said coldly.

"And this is.." the doctor looked at tae confused. Then realisation hit me. I didn't think of his Id.

"I-I'm her husband" tae hesitantly said.

I chocked on air at the word 'husband'. My eyes widened as I look upto him. He gave me w nervous smile pinching me on my hand under the table. 'oh ow oww we gotta act right' I thought to myself. And grin widely.

"Aww... Such a lovely couple you are ..." He complimented and we nodded smiling.

"So I've checked the charts and seriously the symptoms you've mentioned doesn't add up.." doctor said pulling his lips into a thin line.

How could they add up I literally put random symptoms from my dozen health issues I'm having right now.

"What do you mean doctor.." tae asked seriously.

"I mean sir, your wife report... it's hard to read... Is this all you got Ms. Olivia" the doctor asked.

"Yes doc, I put it all in there" I replied again coldly.

"Okay... Let's see... " He again read the report just as we about to implement the plan

"this fake isn't it.." doctor blurted out. We just froze in our seats. We were caught red handed.

"Wh-what??" Tae acting like there's nothing.

"Oh come on... I'm a doctor and clearly NoT dumb ..." He said smirking. We both pulled our lips inside not knowing what to do.
