Out Of Town | A Blind Channel FF

2. First gig

Joonas POV:

I was hyped. Today was the 3rd december, the first day of our christmas tour around Finland.
Today we would start in Lathi.
It was around 5 pm when we arrived at the venue. The guys and I went through the back door to get to the back of the stage.
Santeri came to us and we hugged him and said hello.
'How are you everybody?', he asked with a big smile.
'Damn good!', I answered.
'We're ready to rock this stage!', Niko said and everybody agreed.
'Everything is ready...', Santeri explained. Tommi took out one pair of drum sticks and wanted to go to the stage. We hadn't much time left, and as always he would be the only one who needed to do the soundcheck himself.
'Oh...Tommi, stop. You can chill from today on. We managed to do the soundcheck for you,too.', our tour manager and close friend explained. Tommi was suprised, but didn't ask further questions. They probably would have someone new who was able to do a proper soundcheck for his drums already.
So all six of us went to our wardrobe and got some energy drinks first.
As we passed the small catering for our crew and us I heard two of them talking.
'Yes Hunno, I recorded her. I am so damn proud of my girl.' - 'Vilho, you should have brought her with you earlier. Your girl is so talented!'
I wasn't sure what they were talking about, but I didn't care.
We were celebrating our tour start in our wardrobe. Niko and Joel warmed up their voices. I was jumping through the room stretching my muscles.

Santeri came inside. 'Guys, 10 minutes!', he said. So we left our wardrobe and walked to the back of the stage. We could hear the screaming and shouting of our fans waiting for us.
'Don't throw up before the show!', Aleksi joked. 'Haha... I'll try my best', I answered. Roope came to us. He gave us our in-ears for the show. Behind him was a pretty girl staring at the ground. I was irritated, because I have never seen her around our crew.
'Hey Joonas', Roope said and handed me my in-ears. 'Hey Roope, who is this girl?', I asked interested. But in the same moment I turned around so Roope was able to put the cables and everything on the right place. 'That's Suvi. She helps me with everything.'
I watched the girl carefully. She was looking at the boxes she was holding in her hands. 'Tommi?', she asked with a soft voice. Our huge drummer came to her. 'Hey', I heard him shortly greeting her. He took his devices from her and she tried her best putting the cables on the right position.

But I hadn't any more time to think about her. Now was the time for our show.

It was good to be back again on stage! The last weeks we were mostly working on our new album and the time in between we were practicing for the tour.
I enjoyed the concert, but my stomach would probably kill me right after the last song. I had to vomit every time I was pushing myself to much. But it was never an option for me not getting to my limits and give everything I could.

The time flew by, the fans were still screaming when we left the stage.
My stomache felt awfull, but I tried my best holding it back.
When we left the stage only the girl from earlier stood around staring at the ground and waiting.
I walked up to her. 'Hey, you're new to our crew? You'll take the cables and everything?' She nodded and I started to get all devices off of me. 'I'm Joonas by the way', I introduced myself.
Our eyes crossed each other for a short second. 'Suvi', the girl whispered, took the devices and walked to Niko.
Was I so intimidating that she wouldn't even speak to me?

Suvis POV:
While Roope was still at the mixers, I had to help the band. It was Roopes and my dads idea. As it would be a good idea for me helping this six good looking guys, that are far away from shyness and every girl falling for them. Me the average and timid girl that only feels save in her own private space or by making music.
The guitarist tried to start a conversation with me when I helped him getting everything off. He had already placed his guitar next to the stairs of the stage and I only had to get off his wireless system and his in ears. He was so outgoing, I wasn't able to handle him in this moment.
The next I went to the guy with the long brown hair.
'May I help you?', I mumbled.
He seemed suprised. 'Oh yeah, thanks. I'm Niko by the way. Welcome on board' I liked his soft speaking voice and a little smirk appeared on my face. 'Thanks, I'm Suvi, my dad Vilho is working here,too.' I had to hurry now getting everything of of the six.
I took the little radio system of Olli and the in ears of him, Aleksi and Joel, too. The last one was the huge, brown haired guy I helped already before the show. He was the drummer.
We looked at each other for a short time, but didn't speak a word. He handed me the things and I quickly went away.
