9. Misunderstanding

Suvi's POV:

'Is everything ready here?', I asked Roope. 'Yes, all fine. About tonight...can I get your keys for the van? Maybe you can do all the sound stuff this show by yourself and I can prepare everything backstage?', he asked.

I was nervous about doing everything by myself. 'Are you sure? I don't know if I can handle this by myself.', I honestly answered. 'Ok, I ask Santeri to stay with you then after the first two songs. He helps you when you struggle.'
I nodded and handed Roope my car keys.

Shortly after, I took all in ears again and did my usual process helping the guys.
'Suvi?', the blond guitarist asked me while I was trying to put on all the cables as fast as possible. His naked back freaked me out and made me nervous.
'Yes?', I replied. 'The boys wanted to go out with the rest of the crew tonight.', Joonas began to talk. He and the others didn't know what the crew had planned.

'I know your not the type of person who likes this. I thought about just the two of us. We can go out and eat something first. If you want we can meet the others later or we just play some music or go for a walk..or...'

What? Was Joonas asking me...? No way! He clearly just wanted to be nice. Sure, the guys played rock paper scissors and the looser had to ask me spending time with him.

'Ehm...I don't know, Joonas. You should go out with the guys, you're a party animal. You don't have to take care of me. I'm totally tired from last night and getting up earlier today. I'm ready with you', I answered him and went over to Niko. In the corner of my eye I saw Joonas leaving the room quickly.

'Mhh...Suvi?', now Niko started to speak to me. Hell, what did the guys want from me?
'Yes', I mumbled. 'Why did you turn him down? Don't you like Joonas?', Niko asked.

'I like you all. But...I'm just a simple crew member. You shouldn't be bothered about me. Have fun, go out. I'm fine alone.', I shortly answered.
'He wasn't forced to ask you, if it's what you thought. It was his own idea asking you out.'

I got quiet. Did Joonas really wanna hang out with me? Does he really like me that much he wants to spend his time with me than with his friends?
But why?

I didn't say anything after this. I hurried up getting the other guys ready for the concert and headed back to the mixer.

Joonas POV:

Did she turn be down? Did she not like me? I had to leave the room after this and went to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror. What's wrong with me? I walked up and down the room and nervously bit my lip while trying to get my concentration back. Keep your private problems off the stage.

The door opened and I looked at the brown haired vocalist who was looking at me in concern.
'Are you alright?', Niko asked. 'Could be better, but yes, it's pretty much alright. I'm ready for the stage.', I answered.

'Joonas, I think you like each other, but there is a misunderstanding. Please, keep trying! You would be a cute couple and would complement each other pretty well.'
'Thanks, man.', I said and hugged my friend.

We headed back to the other guys. I ignored Joel grinning evil at me. Aleksi and Olli patted my shoulder and Tommi nodded at me when we came in the room.
I opened a can of beer and downed it before Santeri came in and walked with us to the stage.

The time flew by as we entered the stage. Every time I stepped into the spotlight I forgot about everything. All my energy ended up on this stage. And often I even forgot about what had happened on stage right after.

When we got off the stage this time, Suvi wasn't there to help with everything. But instead Roope was running around backstage.
'What are you doing here?',Tommi asked him.
'Oh, the concert is already over? Time flies by! Suvi did the sound for tonight, I...had other things to do. Let me help you quick.', Roope said and began to help us.

'Suvi did all this on her own tonight?', Niko asked now. 'Yes. But Santeri was there to back her up.'
'That's why I missed him', Aleksi said now.
As soon as everybody got rid of the cables, Roope held us still back.

'Stop guys, before you go to our room. The crew had organised something for all of us.' Now Kirill appeared next to Roope. 'Yes, you don't have to go somewhere to celebrate the first tour week.'
I was irritated and I clearly had to throw up. I ran to the bathrooms where my nervous stomachr emptied itself.

When I got back a few minutes later, Suvi and Santeri where there too.
'Sorry, did I miss something?', I said and scratched the back of my head.
'Our wonderful crew organised a private party in this venue. Suvi and Roope even bought tons of drinks and food for us.', Olli smiled at me.

'Awsome!', I shouted. 'I could need a few drinks and food now!'
'For sure, after you just flushed everything down the toilet seconds ago', Joel said and everybody laughed.
Mikko and Vilme where still at the Merch Shop.

While we showered and changed into fresh clothes, the crew had to do some work before our party.
I was standing in front of the mirror, next to me Joel. 'Maybe that's why she brushed you off, boy.', Joel said while he did his hair up in a messy bun.
'Mhh...maybe. I hope so, man. We'll probably see later.', I answered while doing my make up again.
