He thinks that swooning you with words,
is going to let him stay,
he thinks that buying gifts,
will keep you from going stray.
And although his words are convincing,
and you tell him you love him so,
and his gifts are rather lovely,
you wonder if you should go.
Because if he really meant his words,
he wouldn't ignore you for her,
and as a gift he'd give you,
the attention you deserve.
Although you truly love him,
you can't be sure he feels also,
because he is an unsolved riddle,
and maybe- just maybe- you should go.
