October 23rd, 1989. 7:53 P.M.
As weeks passed, Dallas and I grew closer than I ever imagined we would. He would do little things like hold my hand, and make sure I got home safely at night.
Dating him also gave me special privileges, ones that could only happen if I was girlfriend for Dallas Winston... like the fact that people treated me better, I found that nobody shoved me in the school halls, and would let me walk to the front of the line in the cafeteria.
Others tended to stay as far away as possible, which was fine by me. Even teachers feared Dallas, so in result I got better marks... well I didn't exactly know if that was a coincidence or I really improved my marks.
Word spread fast, and soon enough just about everyone knew Dallas and I were official. We had taken to the drive in to do some sales, as Brian figured out that people wanted to light up a joint while watching a movie.
As there were no cops lingering around, and nobody sold around there, it was a prime location on the weekends for some extra cash. Dallas grasped my hand as we walked towards where they sold food.
The smell of fresh popcorn swivelled up my nose, and made me melt with hunger. I tugged on my boyfriend's sleeve, "Let's get some. I'm starved." I complained.
Dallas sighed, knowing he would have to go buy the popcorn or I would never shut up about my stomach rumbling, "Fine. Stay here, and I'll be back with popcorn and cherry soda."
"You know me too well." I swooned as our fingers parted. I bite my lower lip watching him leave. I had never felt like this before. None of my other boyfriends had been this loving and thoughtful towards me.
I let my eyes linger over the drive thru crowd until I noticed someone staring back at me. It was Lynn and her group of friends. She appeared furious, I had heard around that she wanted to slit my throat, but never took that seriously.
Not until she started marching over with the others trailing behind her. I had not only stolen her almost husband but one of her best friends too. It was only a matter of time before Evie and Dallas left her clutches.
She stopped about a metre from me, "You're such a dirty little wh*re." she seethed, jealousy had overcame her well and truly.
"And why's that? Because you slept with someone else, and tried to trap Dallas with a baby that wasn't his?" I chuckled, rolling my eyes at her. It wasn't my fault that she was terrible to him.
"You'd better watch yourself." Sandy piped up, "We've got dirt on you like nobody's business."
"This is just unbelievable." I huffed at them, "I don't care what you stupid, dumb tramps have on me. I won, you lost. Get over it!"
Lynn stuck her tongue in her cheek, "Oh, you're asking for it now, Jade." she scoffed, "One more remark and you're gonna wish you were dead."
I cleared my throat, none of these girls scared me, not one bit. I dealt with more fear in a day's work than any of them could put on me, "Well in that case." I breathed, for a second thought about what I was about to do, but I had made my mind up.
"You're all ridiculous clowns, and you're all going to get pregnant... and you're all going to be stuck in this crappy town with husbands who don't love you. Have fun, because this conversation right now is the highlight of your pathetic, low grade lives. Tada wh*res."
