Surrounded by girls who hated my guts, I couldn't do much but wait until they hit me and then fight as hard as I could against them.
I tried not to be negative at the outlook, but it was one against four again. This time I didn't have anyone here to save me. I would either have to out run them and escape or somehow find the strength to beat them all at once. The possibilities were slim.
Lynn's eyes flared with red when she stepped towards me, "You're going to die, Jade. I'm sick and tired of your fast talking mouth."
"Aren't you more sick of seeing me with Dallas?" I sneered at her, "Isn't that why you're doing this, you're jealous, aren't you?"
Our chests were now almost brushing together, she was furious beyond words. I wondered why she cared so much. I was perfectly fine with my life, so why couldn't she be with hers?
"I'll give you the first hit. One on the house." she offered. I almost thought it was a joke, but realised she was serious about this, "Go on. Do it. One hit is all it takes."
I shake my head, "I don't want to hit you. I won't stoop that low." I told her as I tried to walk from the circle. Lisa stands in front of me, blocking any exit.
"If you won't do it, then I will." Lynn gives me the ultimatum, "Last chance."
I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I repeated to myself like it made any difference in this situation. All I could do was do whatever she said. I was cornered down here.
I dropped my bag into the dirt, and stepped back to balance the weight of my feet. I looked at Lynn and all the anger I had towards her rushed back. She was a terrible person, but wasn't I too?
Suddenly I get a rush of air and boom! Lynn had curved a punch right into my jaw, and heaved me upwards. I felt myself scramble in the air for a split second before falling into the gravel.
A throbbing sensation swarmed my face, and then the kicks started. I couldn't even register the pain properly as their feet plummeted blows into me. I curled up in a tight ball and tried to cover both my head and mid section.
Someone's boot winded me in the stomach, and I felt burning launch up my throat. I ended up spewing on another person's shoe and that's when it ended.
I lifted my head to see them fishing through my bag and pulling it apart. The products and cash, they stuffed them down their pants. It was all over... I laid there in the dirt until I came back around...

I struggled along main street with a limp in my stride and hunched over my left side. I think they broke my rib when kicking me. People heckled as I went past them. Dumb greaser a**holes! I thought to myself. I was done with this life and done with this stupid town.
I was in luck as I turned the corner to see the construction site that Darry was working at this week as a roof tiler. There was no way I could make it home this time alone, and he couldn't do any worse to me than what had already happened.
