She jerked awake from her recurring nightmare? dream? she didn't know. Honestly she couldn't care less. Being careful not to mutter anything about these occurrences to her superiors she confidently strutted across the base to report to her commanding officer.

Well she'll be damned. It's not like she didn't see it coming. The Winter Soldier was HYDRA's pride and joy (apart form her of course) and him turning against the organization had caused an instant uproar.

She didn't see what the big deal was, honestly. If given a chance she'd escape the hellhole too but alas several doses of cryo freezes and electrocuted brains prevented her from following her own damn mind. At first she fought against it and tried to escape the screaming voices in her head but soon realized how useless it'd be. It's not like life outside could be anything very pleasant and she didn't have any memories of any sort of family or friends. Her numerous soulmates would probably call the police on her if they ever met her. She hoped she'd be spared any such occurrence she didn't fancy having to kill her soulmate(s). But of course when had fate ever been kind to her. Three words and she'd shoot at their heads without a second thought.

Ever since the Winter Soldier escaped HYDRA had started breathing down her neck more than usual. That didn't bother her though. It would have if her mind was under her control but when someone toys with you and your brain for years you learn to ignore the world around you.

She leaned against the roof with her loaded rifle and a comfortable view of the exit of the gym. According to her sources the Soldier should exit in precisely 4 minutes and that was when she'd shoot and get the job done. 007 had never missed a shot and she didn't fancy starting now. There was a reason why anyone who had heard the name Salvo had a sudden rise in heart rate or spike in their adrenaline.

At exactly 9:07am the soldier exited the gym doors. She felt a gentle tingle from one of the various marks on her body but chose to ignore it. Salvo pointed her rifle and was about to shoot when the Soldier suddenly jerked his head towards her and loomed directly into her blue eyes. A loud buzz- a gently caress - a soothing touch - shoot- she missed her shot.
