-Maddie xoxo7:00 AM
She woke up to an empty bed the next morning. Maddie grabbed his giant, white buttoned up shirt and put it on, feeling cold and chilly. He was no where to be seen. She looked out the window, squinting a little at the sunlight that was quickly blinding her and soon realised Dean wasn't home. Did he really just leave? It was his apartment, he couldn't just leave. Maddie called his name but got no answer.
She sighed and brung a hand to her forehead. "Okay. Let's see if Dean Carter has any coffee..." She searched threw a few cupboards and draws. She'd never been to Dean's apartment before. It wasn't much but it was cosy. He had pictures of when he was little on his study desk and a few with his parents. The furniture was nice and his bed was rather comfy to her. The place was peaceful.
The peaceful atmosphere was soon interrupted by a giant door slamming shut. Maddie stood, in his shirt, looking truly mental and tired because of her hair. Sipping coffee and placing a cup of coffee and a bakery bag on the table, Dean finally broke the morning silence.
"Good morning." He smirked, taking another sip of coffee. However, his words were quieter than whisper.
"Morning...w-where did you go?" She smiled, finally taking a seat.
"I would have made you breakfast but I figured I can't, so this is for you." He pointed towards the bag full of bagels and the fresh cup coffee. "I was running a little low on supplies..."
"Thanks." She softly smiled.
The two sat in the small apartment, it was too early of a morning for Maddie. They eat, talked and laughed. It felt nice. Dean loved her presence, he didn't want it all to end. Soon, they were occupied by different topics each hour.
"It felt like a weird thing, because I've never had a one night stand." Maddie said, taking another sip of her coffee.
"Never?" Dean said, not wanting to miss a word of whatever she had to say.
"Nope." Maddie answered.
"...Well except this." Dean said.
"Err...I wouldn't really consider this a one night stand." Maddie said, playing with the sleeves of her wooly jumper. "I mean, we're both still here, right?"
"But we're not in a relationship, Maddie." Dean told her.
"That's true. We're not in a relationship." Dean felt a little disappointed at her answer. "And it was only one time." Maddie hesitated before speaking. "I...cannot make you understand. I cannot make anyone understand what is happening inside me. I can't even explain it to myself."
"My feelings are very clear for you."
"I know...I know,I know..." She sighed and sat silent for a while. It was all an enigma to her. She had so many things to sort out in her life, she couldn't just run back into a relationship.
"This whole thing is hurting my head. I cannot even...Look. Even if this whole 'you and me' thing did happen, it would be impossible to go any further. I'm leaving for New York tonight. Dean, I'm leaving." She explained.
"There's something that...something that I've been hiding from you and everyone else."
"What?"
"And I don't know if this is the right time to say it. I just don't want you to feel overwhelmed when I do."
