"What do you think?"
The professor asked the other two people in the office, those being Logan and Ororo
Logan: I think that you should wait for Moira to call the shots, Chuck
Charles nodded as he put his hands together on the desk
This was the night where the man took a choice that would forever change the course of their lives, but before he took said choice, he called upon two of his most trusted allies
Xavier: She was the first to know. We discussed it before I summoned you two. So I ask you again, my friends...
He looked at the two mutants. One sat on the chair in front of him, while the other leaned against the wall with his arms crossed
Xavier: What do you think of Y/N L/N and Emma Frost?
Ororo: We know their public affairs are more than promising, but I can't shake the fact that they're from the Hellfire Club. We need to know more about it
Logan: I've crossed them once or twice. They're a bunch of elitists that think they can change the world from the shadows
Ororo: That's what makes such a contrast with the boy
Charles leaned forward
Xavier: How so?
Ororo: I don't need to be a telepath to know he isn't a man that manipulates others like that
Logan: As far-fetched as it might sound, I agree with Ororo. If anything, he looks just as lost as one of our students
Xavier: On that, we can agree
Logan: Frost, on the other hand, does fit this profile without even trying
Ororo nodded in agreement, while Charles put a hand on his chin to reflect on it
Xavier: They make for an unlikely duo, but I think we can empathize with their need for shelter
Even though none of them said a thing, they did know the feeling all too well
The Institute welcomed all sorts of people. It didn't matter the background, all mutants could find peace in here
And it wasn't the first time a case like yours had emerged. After all, one of the X-Men's founding members, Angel, was also of a wealthy background
Even as the conversation continued, the course of action continued to be divisive. It was only late at night that Charles found the catalyst for his decision
The man decided to go for a walk around the institute to clear his mind. It all depended on him now
But when he turned left on a hall, he found Emma and you talking in the gardens nearby. She leaned on the stone handrails as she listened to you
You: Let's say they offer me a place--
Emma: Better yet, let's not
She crossed her arms as she looked away
You: If they offer me a place, but don't do the same for you...then I'm not taking it
Charles tilted his head, while the blonde turned sharply to look at you. Perhaps the most surprising thing about this was how calm you were about it
Emma: You're kidding. You've been searching this place for years
You: Yes, but so much has happened over those years, it just wouldn't feel right if you're not there
Not much was said after that. Instead, you watched the stars together. It wasn't long before the girl leaned on your shoulder
Emma: You're so corny, Y/N...never change, please
