Connor's POV

"YOU SLEPT WITH HER?!" Sasha's voice echoed throughout the walls of the penthouse. "How many of my friends are you going to screw over? Amanda and your children's life are in danger because you couldn't keep your manhood in your pants!"

I was just about to reply when I heard Jade talking into her phone. "Tanya, please tell me where you are," she pleaded.

"Why do you care to about my whereabouts?"

"You-" I started off, but once again I was cut off. This time by Sasha

"She doesn't know that we know," she whispered, if we can keep her on the phone for just a bit more, the police will be able to trace the call and decipher her location,"

"Uh..I-I..uh...." Jade stuttered, unable to come up with a suitable lie. "I just want to know if you're okay with where you are with Amanda and Connor. I hope you guys are having fun," she finally managed to choke out.

The line was silent for a second, "Yeah, we're okay. They went out, but I decided to stay in and just watch a couple of movies to pass the time."

"Oh okay," Jade answered, "bring back a souvenir for me, will ya?"

She chucked, "Okay, bye."

"She had the nerve to chuckle. What kind of a friend is that?" a pissed off Tony asked.

"Apparently one that wants to kill you," I replied.

¥¥¥¥

The police was able to trace the call to an old abandoned warehouse. So cliche.

They wanted to leave to the place as soon as possible, and ordered us to stay put until further notice, but I not about to just sit back and relax, knowing that my family is in danger. And by the looks of it, Tony wasn't having any of it either.

They were persistent about leaving us behind, but we were equally as determined to go.

In the end, they finally agreed after I threatened to get them all fired without being able to find another job.

We arrived at the scene. It was dark and gloomy, with the features of the area evident that it has not been used or occupied for years.

We all split up, each going to different entries to the building.

When I entered through the back door, I came in contact with Amanda tied to the floor, her face badly bruised with blood flowing from her headside. There was no sign of the babies, or of Tanya.

When she saw me, her eyes widened in fear. Her screams of protest to something unknown was muffled by the cloth that was stuffed in her mouth.

"It never had to be like this, you know?" a voice came from behind me. It was Tanya.

"We could have had it all. You had my heart and in your hands, all you had to do was to love me back. All you had to do was love me! But no, you chose HER. And now she's going to pay. Maybe as soon as I kill her, you'll realise that you never loved her."

By this time, two police men came up from behind, with their guns pointed at her.

She notices what's taking place behind her, and realizes that no matter what she does, she'll never make it out of this alive.

She turned to face Amanda, smiled a small smile at her before saying, "If I can't have him, then neither can you."

Bang. Bang

The way her body fell to the floor with a thud, and how my body began to ache as my knees went weak was all the confimation I needed to know what took place. The echoes of Amanda's screams can be heard, as darkness consumed my aching body on the floor.
