Tony's P.O.V.
The next day....
I got home after spending the night at one of my 'friends' house. (Booty Call)
The moment I opened the front door,I was greeted by an awkward tension. The house was normally loud with the voices of the girls, creating havoc one after another but, now, the house was as quiet as if everything was placed on mute.
Click! Crick!
Hearing the familiar sounds of the kitchen's cupboard being opened and closed. I marched into the now still room that had Sasha washing the dishes while Tanya dried them and as for Jade, taking the easiest job as always, was placing now clean glasses and plates into the cupboard.
Taking a glance at the opposite side of the awkward room of unknown tension, there stood Amanda wiping off the stove with a dish rag with her head held down having signs of depression.
"Okay, who died and went to hell?" I asked in a worried tone of confusion with a loud voice, causing them all to chuckle lightly in union but not as long as how they normally would. "What's wrong mamacitas?" I asked, now entering the kitchen and took a seat around the marble island.
"That bastard!!"
"The lowest scum of shit on the earth's surface!!"
"That sorry excuse of a man!!"
Tanya, Sasha, Jade shouted simultaneously in anger making my heart skip a beat.
Is it too late to leave the room?
"Who are we talking?" I managed to ask in a plain tone of cluelessness.
"Conner Kingsley!!"
The three upset women barked in a vicious tone. If that man was here now, he'd be swallowed up in one gulp by these venomous ladies who were out for blood.
"That son of a bitch!!" I yelled in anger instantly standing to my feet.
"Shut up!!! Could you all just stay out of my business? Conner and I are getting married and that's final!" Amanda spat out in an upset tone of frustration and raging fury, causing my head to immediately have a shockwave of migranes.
"Wait, what? Is that the reason we're mad at him now?" I ask feeling weak in the knees which resulted in me taking back my precious seat.
"I'm not mad at him, not anymore! My-so-called 'friends' should be happy for me. But no instead, they have nothing good to say" She blurted out causing me to sigh.
"Amanda. Calm down" I spoke in a gentle voice as she tossed the dish rag into the sink then exit the room grabbing her handbag from the nearby bookshelf.
"I am calm. And I'm leaving now, I hate talking to envious strangers. Tell my 'real friends' I said 'Hey' if they ever decide to come back!" Her already upset tone spat out those words out laced with pure irritation as she left the house slamming the door behind her.
'Thump!!' 'Ump!'
The loud collision caused an echo which filled the atmosphere with sadness.
"I'm staying out of this. Just work out your problems before midnight. I'm not on Amanda's say when I say this but cut her some slack, she's been through a lot lately. Just make up with her" I spoke to the three girls while trying my best not to ignite another fire in the room.
"Whatever......"
"We'll think about it"
"Hmm....kay"
The three responded, making me read the room very clear. This girl fight was going to be a rather rocky one. Sigh.....
"Alright. I'm going to take a nap" I informed the three women then left the kitchen.
Amanda's P.O.V
I couldn't stay there; I just had to get out. My friends should be supporting me that I'm getting married to the father of my baby instead of some random hobo that I met on the street!
I don't have a clue as to where I'm going. The first person that came to my mind was Connor. I took out my phone and dialed his number.
(We exchanged numbers last night and I put him on speed dial in case anything bad should happen to me or the baby.)
Dialing......
"Hello?"
"Hey, it's me."
"I was wondering if after-" I cut him off.
" Could you be mature for one minute?"
"Fine...Are you okay? You sound like you're about to cry."
"I had a fight with my friends and my brother. Well it wasn't actually a fight 'cause I stormed out and right now I don't know where to go."
" Just calm down. The stress is not good for you or the baby. Tell me where you are right now and I'll come pick you up, yeah?"
*Sniff*
"Just meet me at Cindy's Cafè"
" Okay. See you in 20."
End of call....
I went straight to Cindy's and waited at a table near to the door. As promised, Connor arrived exactly 20 minutes later.
" Hey. " He came up to me and sat in the chair across from me.
" Hi. Were you busy? " I asked, looking at him.
" Kinda. I was in a meeting when you called. I kinda had to leave the meating a little early." He said, opening up the menu that was already on the table.
" You were in a meeting?!" I nearly yelled. " I'm sorry I called you. Just go back to work. It's more important than my stress anyways." I told him.
" No can't do. Who cares about work? You and the baby are my main priorities now. Plus, I left my dad to take care of everything." He said, still scanning the menu.
" Anyways," He paused and finally closed the menu "When was the last time you went to the doctor to get a checkup?"
" Ummm... the last time I went to the doctor was when I found out that I was pregnant....." I trailed off, not having any sort of eye contact with him. I was definitely the worst mother ever. Forgetting to get a checkup on my own baby was pass awful.
" You have got to be kidding me" He muttered to himself but I heard.
" I forgot, okay! Things haven't been good these past days. I found out I'm pregnant, my parents get mad, I go to a party only to find out that you knew as well, we had a heated make out session on a goddamn garden bench after I poured bourbon on your clothes, you coming to my house and kissing me right in front of your mother and your so-called fiancee whose ass I beat senselessly, you proposed and I had a huge misunderstanding with my best friends! How the hell am I supposed to find tine to make an appointment?!" I furiously yelled at him and looked around only to find pairs of eyes looking at me.
Sigh...
"Look, sorry for making you come out here to waste your time. I'll make an appointment right now and text you the details later." I took up my handbag and stormed off for the second time today, ignoring Connor's pleads asking me to wait.
