"Ah! Look, it's the lost group!" someone said, everybody laughed at the joke. Aolus and Akoen's group had reached the edge of the forest.

"Silence! At least they could survive better than adults, some of ye were starving! These three had medicine, weapons, food, and shelter, no other group had that!" Aolus said that made everybody shut up.

"They had all that?" said the man who had played the joke on them.

"Yes, we did, we had Lokiel, best healer in Akiet and good with the battle axe, Keflar, best blacksmith in Akiet, and me, Akoen, best swordsman in all of Akiet," Akoen said.

"What! That is very unfair! The best blacksmith, the best healer, and the best swordsman!" the unknown man said. "You know what, if you think you are the best swordsman in Akiet, then I challenge you to a duel!" Unknown man said.

"Fine," said Akoen.

For the duel, the unknown man picked a sword he said he had designed and smithed, Akoen picked the sword that Keflar had made especially for him.

"Quite a wonderful sword you have there, but this sword is made for me and only me," said the unknown man.

"So is this sword, made for me and only me," Akoen said. The man growled in anger and charged at Akoen. Akoen strafed to the side and jabbed at the man's side. The man howled in pain and sliced at Akoen. Akoen sidestepped and slashed at the man, making the man bleed. Akoen analyzed the man's style and found out that it was all offense, no defense. "I've never seen anyone fight like you? What kind of style is this?" the man asked.

"My style, always analyze and learn the opponent's style of attack first, then attack accordingly. See, for you, I just need to attack defensively to tire you out, then attack offensively because you only attack offensively." Akoen said with a jab. The man sliced and slashed, but didn't hit his target. "Do you give up?" Akoen asked.

"No!" the man said with a final jab, and then he fainted.

"Huh, looks like I won," said Akoen. Everybody watching started cheering and congratulating Akoen. Aolus smiled and quietly said to the three

"Good job! If I was the only one to choose who would go on the quest, my choice would be you three!"

"Thank you Aolus! But now how do we pick which group goes on the quest?" Lokiel asked.

"Ah! Well to decide that we will be doing a vote, the group with the most votes will go on the quest."
