And near but not too near, was the Prince. While he minded his own business, he was still phased by the trauma he went through.
The look Clyinius shot him, the way his touch was lifeless and unpassionate. The thought hurt his heart and stung him, stung his soul, stung his eyes and suddenly the tears happened once more.
He frantically tried to wipe his tears as he lay fragiley next to a patch of roses in the palace garden. He peered around him at the hedges that blocked his pathetic body from being seen. Suddenly, a rustling could be heard
"Leo?"
"Leo, dear?"
The small woman tragically stumbled through the opening in the hedges, she huffed and puffed as she gathered herself once more and pounced forward. "Leo? I know you're here, I can smell you from miles away.. hehe." She giggled, but kept herself composed.
"I need no more of your scolding.. I'm sorry for saying another's name whilst in your arms.. you needn't deserve such treatment." He said softly, the tips of his fingers brushing nervously against his knuckles.
Princess Pinout Dög had now located his location through his statement, she merely smiled at him, gently and understanding. "Love is hard, since you are royal. Sometimes we fall in love with the wrong people but it is just not known yet, so now you, my beloved prince, now you must decide if this... Clyn-oius?... is truly worth your time."
The gentle Princess's bold assumptions of his and him's fiery relationship were hard to respond to... Leonardo questioned if she was somehow right, but he knew him and Clyinius's bond wasn't built up off of simple clichees. They could be together and Leonardo refused to believe otherwise but arguing seemed to be futile.
He rose to his feet and gently guided the princess down next to him, "Careful, Peanut." He whispered in her ear, lips nearly grazing her fine, pale skin. She blushed and her skin was quickly highlighted by a light red.
The prince was shocked by her reaction but blew it off.

"Are you an enjoyer of music?" Leonardo asked her. The princess who was leaning on Leonardo's firm shoulder muttered a soft, "Yes."
"I can not see so music has been a guiding light for entertainment, the crisp sounds and the pleasure it brings to my ears, sends chills to my heart." She responded with confidence and raised a soft hand to Leonardo's cheek.

Leonardo leaned on her hand as she petted the side of his face, tears swelled in his eyes from the comfort her hand had given to him. Once the tears had reached her skin, he felt her tremble. "Have I done something wrong?" She whispered. "No.. thy mustn't worry, I am simply, yet dearly heartbroken." He paused, then again he said, "I have wounded myself and embarrassed my family by such secretive actions." He shuddered and found himself turning and embracing the princess.
He sobbed into her shoulder, dampening her silky dress with his soggy tears. She didn't utter anything else aside from, "You will be okay.." as she stroked his eyes.
"Maybe instead of wasting away here.. we can go to the ballroom and find ourselves some good drinks." She pulled her head away from Leo's and looked into his eyes. Leo had a sad, puppy-like expression, his face was red and eyes swollen, but the princess could still not see.
"C'mon, don't leave me hanging." She chirped and brushed his messy hair back, still speaking in her sweet tone. "Yes, alright, but might I say a few words... I'm sorry."
The Princess nodded and Leonardo began..

"You might not love me, but thence I shall move forward, with or without your support, lend me your strength and I will figure out my feelings for you..
and maybe you can return them with roses? I'll wait for you." He sounded defeated once he finished his line. Then looked at the princess for some sort of reaction, "Your Majesty... Leonardo.. no.. Leo, sorry.. Might I be the one to fill your cracked heart, you wouldn't need to worry about being alone, you can figure your feelings out but we can still be together and I will love you unconditionally, a side lover means nothing. This animal who you beckon for love, is cold and cruel. I can love you like no other and give you riches and provide a suitable heir.. please Leo.. just think realistically." She pleaded to him, but Leonardo was simply bewildered.

"Y-you.." He couldn't keep his composure, he was almost furious, but before he could act on it, Princess Pinout pressed her lips against his. She retracted her face from his and pressed a finger to his soft lipstick stained lips.
"You speak not of this.. now hurry." She flushed.

Leonardo was appalled, though drama was the last of his priorities, this didn't make him hate her, he was just.. feeling unheard again. So swift on his feet, he grabbed the princess and cheerfully danced and swung her around until the faint whispers of song could be heard once again. He swung her around and entered back into the castle through 2 doors he pushed open with his back.
"Haha! It feels as though I am flying!" She spread her arms like wings as he held her up. Leo silently continued, with a small grin on his face but an aching heart inside. He dropped her down to his side as they set foot in the grand hallway.
Fast and linked arms with her, they merrily began to frolic down the hallway chattering and chirping until they reached the grand ball doors.
He opened them again using his back and closely guided the dear princess back in. His backside view blinded, he only had eyes on the lovely princess, Pinout.

"ACK!"

And suddenly, he felt something collide with his back, he turned and there it was, a familiar face accompanied by a man of man who he had truly wished to not be seeing.
There goes the night, as fast as temptations were coming, guilt followed...
