I tried to keep my eyes from crashing shut, but the task was unsuccessful. All the three men were talking about were names and places and I had no idea what any of it meant. This caused boredom to creep into my system and then I fell asleep on a small couch in the corner of Cassander's office. It wasn't until I heard the door open and close that I woke up.

I my eyes cracked open and I yawned before opening my eyes to see two more male figures in the room. I recognized both of them and as soon as I began to sit up all eyes turned to me.

"Good morning, Princess!" Liam said with a cheerful voice. Next to him stood the vampire king Kyrell, whom I had met at Liam's ball. He gave a gentle nod before I stood up and walked over to Cassander's side. The three wolves were standing up and greeting the two vampire kings.

" Cassander, I am so sorry about your parents. We came as soon as word spread to us. We want to assure you we are here to help find and punish whoever committed this crime," Liam said firmly.

"Both of our kingdoms and our men are at your side, Alpha Cassander," Kyrell spoke formally.

"Thank you, King Liam and King Kyrell. We appreciate your alliance and offer. The whole incident is still under investigation but I am sure it wont be long before we find out who did this," Cassander says.

"I am not sure if you put these pieces together or not, but until today nobody knew who Jasper was or looked like. Her identity remained private, but now people will know you have a mate and how to hurt you. Perhaps they aimed for your parents because they didn't realize Jasper was here," Liam said, concern lacing his tone.

"He's right, Alpha. Jasper is going to be the next target, or your siblings," Booker stated.

"For what it's worth, the other reason I came here was to offer Jasper and anyone else in need a sanctuary. They would stay in my castle, guarded at all times," Liam stated. There was a silence, but I knew just as well as Cassander that Liam was right and that going to his kingdom would likely be the safest approach.

"I'd like to offer the same safety as Liam. I know we aren't close but that could be to the advantage. Nobody would expect werewolves to be hiding in a vampire kingdom, especially one with little association with wolves," Kyrell spoke.

"Boss, I think the bloodsuckers have a good point. We may want to consider sending Jasper with Liam and your siblings with King Kyrell. Separating them would mean if by chance one was attacked we'd have the other one safely tucked away in the other kingdom," Zane says.

A few moments pass, and I could tell there was a flurry of emotions in Cassander's mind and heart. He didn't want me to leave him, but he wanted to be assured of my safety. His parents were killed on his own land, and he was feeling guilty and weak because he couldn't protect them. I knew what his decision would be before he even made it and a few seconds later, he nodded to the vampire kings.

"Liam, I am entrusting you with the safety of Jasper. Kyrell, my siblings will go with you. I trust you both, and if I am misplacing my trust now, I will personally rip every cell of your bodies to pieces," Cassander says with no sign of deception in his voice, and I'm sure everyone knew he was serious.

Both kings nodded in acknowledgement, confirming they understood the threat to their own lives. I trusted Liam, but I was still unsure about Kyrell. He didn't give me a bad feeling or anything, I just did not know him as well and neither did Cassander.

"You two may stay the night here and in the morning depart. I will have Zane show you to your rooms so we can continue our meeting," Cassander spoke one last time, the kings nodding to him before Zane showed them out.
