We took the path back to the castle, passing by vampires who all looked in confusion and curiosity at the human and their king. I am sure plenty of them thought the same as the previous vampire had, that I was his next meal. If only they knew I was destined to be an alpha werewolf's mate.

When we reached the stone castle, Liam opened the door for me and we entered. As I had gotten used to, heads turned to see the king enter and they all gave a slight bow before turning attention to me.

Instead of texting or calling whoever he wanted, he simply shouted out names.

"Natalia! Sylas!" he calls out and I look at him with a confused look.

A second later, two vampires appear in front of us.

The first a beautiful blonde haired, black eyed, model of a vampire. She was a few inches taller than me and had a perfect body. Her curves were in the right places, her legs long and slender but somehow shapely at the same time. She had a heart shaped face with a lightly squared off chin, dimples on her cheeks. She was absolutely stunning, but she had a sweetness to her looks especially when she flashed me a warm smile.

The second was another male vampire with shoulder length dark curly hair and deep tanned skin. His eyes were the blood red of a turned vampire. He too had a non threatening look to him. His eyes were gentle, his nose was wide at the nostrils but small at the peak. His jaw rounded out with his chin, giving him an oval face shape. He was tall as well, but a few inches shorter than Liam. My guess would be he was around six feet and one inch.

"Who is this snack?" the male says with an attractive smile and the woman smacks his arm and gives him a glare.

"This is Jasper," Liam introduces me. "This is my sister Natalia and her mate Sylas," he states.

"I didn't know you had a sister," I say, a bit surprised he left that tidbit of information out.

"Because she's annoying," he says flatly.

"I am not!" Natalia defends herself.

"Well sometimes-" Sylas begins but is cut off by a smack upside his head.

"How am I ever supposed to make a good first impression if nobody ever lets me speak before they call me names?" Natalia says, a pout on her lips.

"Anyway, why have you brought a human to the castle? I have never seen you feed from the vein," Sylas comments referring to Liam.

"She is of high importance and is a friend," Liam tries to reply vaguely.

"Important how? Is she your mate?" his sister asks, her eyes lighting up at the last comment.

"No, she is not my mate. She's Cassander Osiris's mate," Liam says.

"How? She is human, right?" Natalia asks, confusion crossing her beautiful facial features.

"We don't know yet, but she is definitely human and definitely Cassander's mate," Liam says.

"How strange," Sylas murmurs to himself.

"Anyway, we will be on our way. I'm sure the lovely wolf queen is hungry," Liam comments before dragging me off.

"See you soon!" Natalia yells from behind us and I turn back and give her a smile.

We enter a huge dining hall, a long table with many chairs in the center. Liam takes a seat towards the end and I sit across from him.

"What would you like to eat?" he asks me. I give him a confused look and he just rolls his eyes and sighs. "Yes, we can eat human food if we wish. No we can't survive on it," he simply says and I keep my mouth shut.
