I did not wake up from the sun shining through the windows as I did many times at home. Here there was no sunlight. Instead, I was awakened by the feeling of the bed shifting. I opened my eyes to see Liam's shirtless body walking away from me and into the bathroom.
I sat up in the bed and rubbed my head as I let out a yawn. I had to admit, Liam's bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.
In my groggy state, I grabbed my phone and checked it. I had promised myself I would not let any texts get in the way of my adventure, but I had to look.
Not surprisingly, I had a few texts from Booker. I knew Cassander would not message me himself so soon after the fight we had.
Suddenly, the phone lit up in my hand and began vibrating. Booker's name popped onto the screen. I sighed before I pushed the button to accept the call.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey are you home?" Booker asked. I knew he was snooping for Cassander, but I knew if I didn't just answer honestly they would find out anyway.
"No," I stated.
"Where are you?" he asked, trying to keep a neutral tone.
"Away for a while. I'm safe, don't worry," I replied. I did not want to tell them I was in the kingdom of vampires because that surely would send Cassander into a rampage.
"As long as you're safe that is all we care about," Booker says, sounding a bit nervous despite me saying I was safe.
"I am," I say as Liam walks out of the bathroom, a confused look on his face. "Hey I gotta go. I'll talk to you soon," I say quickly.
"Jasp-" Booker starts but I hang up on him.
Liam chuckles and smirks. I purse my lips at his amusement.
"The wolves have already started looking for you, eh?" he says with a chuckle.
"Yeah. Lovely right?" I say sarcastically.
"Not what I'd call it but you are you," Liam says as he walks over to his closet. He pulls out a shirt and slips it over his head, leaving on his jogger pants that I assume he slept in.
"What is on the agenda for the day?" I ask as I flop the covers off of me, exposing my bare legs. As the cool air of the room hits my skin, goose bumps begin to rise and I shiver lightly.
"I assumed I would be showing my guest around the kingdom," Liam says with an eye brow raised.
"Sounds good to me," I say, sliding off of the bed and walking over to my bag. I rummage through my clothes until I finally find something I deem wearable for the day ahead.
I pull out a pair of black leggings and an emerald green baggy pullover crew neck sweat shirt. I make my way into Liam's large closet and use that as a changing room. I can't say I was completely uncomfortable with someone seeing my body, but I just felt it was morally wrong.
After I am finished dressing, I come out and see Liam waiting for me, looking down at the imaginary watch on his wrist.
"Oh come on, I didn't take that long," I say, scrunching my eye brows up.
"Compared to a vampire you took a century," Liam scoffs. I roll my eyes as he zips into his closet so fast I barely saw his blur of a body. A second later he comes out, completely dressed in black dress pants, a burgundy shirt and a black tie.
"Why so formal?" I ask.
"I'm the king. I have to look good all the time," he says as he fixes his collar.

WerewolfThis book is being rewritten and the rewrite is posted on my page. It is way better written and details have been added and some have been changed. The story, however, remains relatively the same. I recommend checking that version out instead. Thank...
