Chapter 3 Analeas POV

The next day I woke up at 6:30 to get ready for school. I was so tired considering I didn't get much sleep last night.

I was thinking about who to take with me to the disco ,and I figured it out. I was going to take my other friend Beth. She was a kind friend and all but I still wish that scarlet could be here.

I met her at school and asked her if she would like to come with me. "Sure" she said as she gave me a hug and thanked me.

I walked over to my locker and something suddenly startled me. I looked behind me and it was my home room teacher "hello dear" she said quickly.

"Hello" I replied

"Is scarlet here" she asked looking confused. "No" I said sadly with a sigh "she won't be back for the next couple of weeks". "Oh that's okay" she said "I just didn't know where she was I have been looking for her for the last couple of days".

"Thank you" she said gratefully and walked slowly off.

Just as I started getting all of my books out Oscar came up to me. "hi" he said. I turned around "hi" I said back. "Can I tell you something"? he asked me "sure "I replied "whats up".

He froze and Started trying to talk but I just couldn't make out what he was saying. "Is everything okay?" I asked politely.

"Yes"he replied quickly. "Yes everything's fine"

"Than what is it" I said calmly. I was starting to become impatient I had an early class today and everyone was talking to me like I was a fortune teller. He froze again but this time snapped out of it quickly.

"There is a murderer on the loose just in our neighbourhood" he said quickly. I stopped breathing for a second and froze. "What!" I said hoping he was just joking , but I could see in his eyes that he wasn't.

"Yes my father gave me a wanted poster this morning" I'm telling you Annie you must be carful we all have to" I nodded in agreement. I couldn't believe it! "What , so when the police find him they will lock him up right." I don't know "he said" with pity in his eyes. "But apparently he is not from this area he lives about half an hour away from our town".

"Than why is he here" I asked "why cant he go murder people in his own town" I felt a bit guilty for saying that but I was scared anything could happen.

"I don't know "Oscar said but I have to go. "Bye" I said quietly as he gave me a small kiss on the head and walked away.

What was going to happen now I thought to myself. This may not be that scary to other people but it was to me. My mother was murdered and I watched her get murdered and I will do what Oscar said I sure will be carful. I'll be fine I thought to myself. I'll be fine.
