It's been almost 20 hours since Analea went missing. the police said that they weren't going investigate too much until she had been missing for at least 24 hours.
I'm so worried about her. anything could of happened to her. I was sitting on my bed staring at the plain white wall in front of me. I had been looking all around the local area and this afternoon. I looked non stop.
I wanted to start looking now but mum said it wasn't such a good idea and she told me to try and get some sleep, because I would be looking mostly every night and I wouldn't get much sleep at all. but I couldn't sleep. I couldn't help thinking that "the murderer that was on the loose" had something to do with her going missing.
If it was him though than would he have murdered her? Or would he be torturing her right at this moment. it hurt to think what could be happening.
Apparently this escaping murderer is actually really smart, and could be anywhere In the world, well at least that's what the I herd the police telling my mother and father. poor Analea. she could be anywhere.
Her grandmother on the other hand is in hospital. she had a slight hardatack when she herd the news about Analea going missing. Not only did I feel very sorry for Analea but I also felt sorry for her grandmother. hearing the news about Analea going missing must have shattered her.
Suddenly my bedroom door opened. it was mum. "Come on we should start searching now" she said with a sigh. "but if your tired you can stay here and get some rest".
"No" I quickly shouted and jumped up off my bed. I would never be able to sleep knowing that Analea is missing and getting hurt.
We walked through the kitchen and mum handed me a nutria grain bar. you'll get hungry." "Thanks I replied" as I took the bar off her and started to head out to the ute. I opened the door and sat in the passenger seat.
just seconds later mum opened the door to the drivers side and started the car.
We took off and decided that we were going to check the forest today. My dad and Zara checked it a little bit last night but didn't find anything.
It wasn't a very long drive from our place and we got there in about 5 to 10 minutes. we got out of the car and started to search. it looked like the forest went on and on forever. All I could see were trees and dead grass everywhere.
We continued searching for hours but we didn't find anything at all.
When it started getting dark so we drove home. tomorrow it will kind of be the same. me and mum will go searching together and dad and Zara will go searching together.
Later on that night I looked up about the murderer that was on the loose. it said that he had been guilty of murder a lot of times before and now that he has escaped everyone Is going crazy. there is hardly many kids at all riding their bikes past the front of our house.
Most people are really scared but luckily lots of police are staying on duty around here.
The next morning I jumped at the sound of my alarm. I'm not sure how I ended up falling asleep but I was glad that I got some rest. it was 6:40 am. so I got up and got dressed.
On my way outside I grabbed two of those nutria grain bars. I did get very hungry while I was searching and we didn't have any time to stop and get takeaway either.
As I was walking outside towards our ute a policeman stopped me.
"Hello Oscar how are you this morning?" the policeman said calmly.
Really I thought my girlfriend is missing how do you think I am. "I'm okay" I replied.
"Well" the police officer started "we will start searching in the next town from here, and we will call your mother if we find anything."
"Okay" I said sadly.
The policeman gave me a quick glance and than walked away. I saw him approach my father and they started talking.
I walked over to the ute and sat in the passenger seat. about 3 minutes later mum came in the car. "were going to see Analeas grandmother today" she said. we were pretty close to Analeas grandmother, we were like a big family.
We sped off down the highway to the hospital.
We got there after about 10 minutes. we slowly stepped out of the car and made our way up to the hospital. it looked like it was really big not only was it a really tall building but heaps of people were there. there were so many people there that we had trouble finding parking.
When we got inside the hospital, mum asked the nurse where "jan riggots" room was. the nurse said that it was 4th floor number 22. We walked over to the lift and pressed 4. in seconds we were on the 4th floor. We walked along looking at all the numbers until finally we found 22.
We quietly stepped in the room. we saw jan laying in a hospital bed with one of those depressing white sheets that they make you wear. Also She was wearing an oxygen mask.
Her eyes were closed so I guess that she must be sleeping.
Suddenly the nurse came in. "Hello" she said sweetly.
"Hello" my mother replied. "how is she?"
"She's doing okay" the nurse said back "but at the moment she is sleeping."
The nurse slowly moved over to jans bedside table and put a little cup with a lid on it. "if she wakes up give her some of this soup".
"Ok" mum said back.
After looking at the oxygen mask the nurse headed out.
I saw jan slowly open her eyes. as soon as they were open she stared up at me. "hello" I said softly.
She smiled at me. "hello dear."
"How are you feeling?" my mum asked curiously.
"I'm feeling okay thank you" she replied.
"That's good". "well here's some soup that the nurse left for you" mum said calmly. "Would you like some?"
"No thank you dear" she said with a croaky voice.
It started to be silent for a while and than jan started to cry.
"Are you okay" my mum asked as she pulled a tissue out of the tissue box and handed it to jan.
"Yes dear" she sobbed. "I'm okay". "I just miss Analea so so so much, she said as a tear rolled down her cheek.
I walked over to a water tank thing and poured some water for jan.
I wanted to get going so we could search for Analea.
When I gave jan the water she sat up and slowly gulped it down.
"We better get going" mum said as jan put the plastic cup on the table next to her. "we need to keep on searching for Analea. "
"Yes I understand" jan said with a sweet smile "it was lovely seeing you" she said with a sob.
"You too" my mum said as she lent over and hugged her.
"Goodbye" me and mum said together.
"Goodbye, call me if you hear anything". Jan said.
"I will goodbye". My mum said as she gave jan a soft smile.
We went down the lift and walked out of the hospital.
As we were walking back to our ute I saw a tear roll down my mums cheek. I could tell that she was upset and just wanted Analea and jan to be okay.
