Hyuuga Hiashi.

The eternal stoic leader of the illustrious Hyuuga clan of the hidden Leaf village.

His cold, white eyes have always been feared and respected by allies and enemies alike. As a ninja, he was brave and powerful. As a leader, he was revered and commendable. As a man, he was loyal and stubborn.

Yet, as a father, he considers himself as a failure

And no greatness in name and title could ever outweigh such disappointment.

The world has been saved yet, again by the celebrated hero of the Leaf---- Uzumaki Naruto. The child who was destined as the kyuubi's jinjuriiki and was endlessly despised by the very same villagers he later vowed to protect with his life.

And this time, the hero and his friends successfully defeated Otsutsuki Toneri and saved the earth from the moon.

Hiashi had learned of the said prophecy regarding his first-born daughter's marriage to Toneri shortly before his father died, and tried to take matters into his own hands; while being utterly clueless of the extent of Toneri's goals. And had been quite powerless in his attempt to stop the villain who effortlessly kidnapped Hanabi and almost married Hinata.

A week had passed since the incident, and the world is once again recovering, walking forward towards another beginning. And Hiashi was truly grateful that both of his daughters managed to return home unscathed

Yes, he was a bad father. But despite all his faults, his daughters never took them against him. They completely understood his duties as a leader and his personality as a Hyuuga.

All of which, Hiashi has been painstakingly trying to change since the end of the war; after everyone had suffered the loss of their prodigy---- Neji. And the loss of his nephew had given the deepest scar on his precious eldest.

Oh, Hinata.

She was the kindest, purest of souls.

The disowned and neglected failure of an heiress.

Hiashi will forever regret the hell he had put her through the years, especially when she needed him the most. And her selflessness and forgiving heart only made him even more apologetic towards her.

Hinata trully deserved better after all the pain she'd carried, and the nightmares that haunted her. If only he was capable of doing anything to at least make up for even a portion of his shortcomings.

If only he was capable of giving her happiness
