The scene was absolutely breathtaking.
With the colossal moon as their backdrop; the winter breeze blowing around them; and their racing hearts finally connecting with eternal promises of love and happiness.
Naruto finally had a real first kiss now that he was holding Hyuuga Hinata in his arms.
His unpredictability got the best of him again when he just blasted them off in the air with his rasengan and claimed her lips right then and there. Making him fall in love with the byakugan princess even more.
His byakugan princess.
When the magical kiss ended, Naruto stared at Hinata with his blue eyes and grinned. He couldn't believe that he could actually be this happy. Nor did he ever think he deserved to be loved as much as Hinata loved him.
"N-Naruto-kun...?" the heiress stuttered as she felt her cheeks blushing furiously because the blonde kept staring intently at her after they kissed.
Yes!
They kissed! Naruto kissed her! Naruto-----.
"Nee-sama!" Hanabi's voice cut through her thoughts when she shouted her name. Hinata blinked at Naruto before she turned around towards the direction of her sister's voice.
That's when Hinata realized that she and the hero have been suspended on air long enough that gravity had decided to pull them back to the ground. But before she could even move, one of Sai's giant ink birds, swiftly swooped them both with precision.
The heiress sighed in relief as she rode the chakra-infused creature with Naruto sitting behind her.
"Did we interrupt something?" Hanabi teased loudly when the ink-bird she was riding with Sakura flew beside the couple.
Hinata squinted her eyes at the mischievous grin on her little sister's lips. "No." she simply replied, although her furious blush showed otherwise, making Sakura and Hanabi laugh.
"Sorry, we had to break your little moment up there." Shikamaru chimed with a smile of his own. He was riding his ink-bird beside the girls as Sai joined the group and appeared on the other side of the couple.
The genius scratched the back of his head as he looked forward towards the direction of the Leaf. "We need to get back to the village as soon as we can, to make a report to the Kages." he informed and the team nodded.
"Can we race with these birds?" Hanabi asked excitedly.
"Sure." Sai answered with a smile. "I think I still have enough chakra to keep them until we reach Konoha."
"Great." Shikamaru nodded. "Let's go."
