Hinata merrily hums a lullaby as she prances across the wide living room of their home that morning. The autumn sun is shining over the village as if smiling at its long awaited peace and prosperous days.
Hinata smiles as she delicately wipes the small frames decorating the bright room, containing pictures of her and her husband's precious bonds together. It almost felt like her happy days now is a whole new lifetime from the dreadful war and all the other haunting days of the past.
Especially since the heiress just got a confirmation from Ino and Tsunade that there's another present awaiting inside of her when she went to the village hospital yesterday. Sakura had been away from the village for three months now, ever since she was sent on a mission with Sasuke by the Rokudaime.
And Naruto will be back in four days, in time for his birthday after his two-week-long mission in Suna. Hinata couldn't help the flushed grin on her face as she daydreamed of the hero's reaction to the news. As of now, only her and the medic-nins know of the present she's carrying.
The heiress went about her day which became quite simple after she officially retired as a ninja like she proposed a while ago. Without having missions to tend to, Hinata had all the time to give to her clan, family and Naruto. There were a lot of things to adjust to since she became Mrs. Uzumaki, but with yet another chapter of their lives unfolding before them, Hinata knew that she's gonna need to keep her focus on her new family more than ever.
Hinata strolled around the village market to buy some stuff before she visits the compound to share the news. She had been contemplating a lot about who deserved to learn about her present first but now that the fact had already sunk into her pretty head, Hinata realized that she was growing more anxious and weary of the impending changes that will occur in their lives soon.
Was she even ready for this after all?
Truthfully, she had been dreaming and wanting it since she was little. But now that it's actually here, it suddenly became too overwhelming to bear. And Hinata wished that Naruto would come home sooner so they could talk... or even celebrate about it.
The heiress unconsciously placed a hand on her tummy in a protective manner. There was no doubt that her husband will fawn over the news... right?
Hinata sighed and decided to take a detour to the Yamanaka flower shop to get some lilies and visit Neji in order to somehow calm her senses in the meantime. She had to shake off the fact that she was starting to get scared over Naruto's infinite possible reactions to her impending news.

"Hanabi." Hiashi sternly interrupted his overly-excited youngest who squealed with sheer happiness at the news while almost tackling her sister on the wooden porch of the compound.
Hinata seemed to have come at the perfect time after visiting Neji because Hanabi and her father were out sparring at the courtyard when she entered her childhood home. With their byakugans ablaze, they both abruptly stopped and turned to the eldest in astonishment. The small, fluttering ball of chakra inside the heiress' abdomen was more than enough to convey the situation.
