"Nee-sama. Nee-sama." Hanabi whispered as she shook Hinata's shoulder to wake her up a few hours after they arrived at the hospital.

Hinata quickly blinked her eyes open and sat up straight from her chair beside their father's bed. Her head twitched in pain a little from the lack of sleep but she focused on her sister instead.

"I think he's waking up." Hanabi said softly and turned to their father who slowly shifted under the sheets. Hinata quietly and nervously followed her sister to the opposite side of their father's bed and patiently waited for the leader to open his pale eyes.

Hiashi slowly blinked his eyes open at the stillness of his hospital room.

The white ceilings and the strong smell of medicine in the air was proof enough to know where he is. Though he immediately winced as pain shot up his heavily bruised body when he moved.

"Tou-sama!" Hanabi's relieved voice echoed across the room as she beamed down at him.

Hiashi quickly looked at the direction of his daughter's voice and forced his aching body to sit up. And before he knew it, two pairs of delicate arms supported him from his sides. The leader glanced at each of his daughters as a huge wave of comfort filled him from the inside.

"Hinata. Hanabi." Hiashi mumbled before an unexpected smile appeared on his lips. Then he slightly raised his arms in a gesture he never thought he'd be doing his whole life.

But the possibility of losing his daughters had been so vivid to him in the middle of the battle against Toneri last night. And the fear of being left all alone had haunted him gravely in the last few hours.

That's why seeing his lovely daughters now, made him incredibly satisfied.

Hanabi was the first to jump enthusiastically in his arms and didn't let another second pass before she was sobbing tears of relief and joy. It was the first time Hanabi had shown such strong emotions after Neji's death, since she was seemingly more composed in comparison to her older sister. Yet, right now, Hiashi felt like his youngest was back to being her curious, little self all of a sudden.

Hinata on the other side just stood quietly on her spot. Her hands fidgeted on the fabric of her clothes as she watched the strangely affectionate scene in front of her. She was starting to wonder if their father had bumped his head into something that it completely changed his personality in the process.

But Hinata had always been one to worry about everything.

"Hinata." her father interrupted her thoughts and tried offering his other arm to her again. Hinata stared at his opened arm for a few good seconds before she slowly sat on the side of his bed and eventually leaned in to hug her father.

The hug was strangely warm and comforting.

And for the heiress... it felt like home

"I am so glad that you're both safe." Hiashi stated with a smile. "I have never feared that much in my life when the Raikage suggested to destroy the moon with you in it." he unintentionally rambled on as his emotions overwhelmed him.
