Chapter 7 - Woohooooo! I Have A New Name

My vision went blank.

Suddenly, my mom appeared before me with dad. They were holding me. Me, 1 or 2 days after mom had given birth to me or like that.

"What will we name her?" asked mom.

"Diane Chedar." said dad.

My mom smiled.

"And fake?"

"Carina Roman." said dad.

Mom laughed playfully.

"And what will be the fake name of-" I didn't hear her.

The memories flowed like a river.

Finally, they stopped.

This time my mom and dad were there. I was sleeping in a cot behind them. I was just born.

"...Can we give her a fake name?"

"I guess, yes. But Andrew..."

"No please. We just have to save our daughter from Dark Lord. Just 14 years. Then I'll..." dad choked.

"Yes dear. You'll have to kill me."

"But Sarahh, I cannot."

"I'll help you. I'll have to die."

"But why?"

"Fine." My mom walked to me and sat beside me.

"Diane. Yes, I've named you Diane although we'll ask your father about it and see whether he agrees. Dia, you will have to understand this clearly.

I'm a daughter of Lord of Underworld. You may call him Hades, in Greek mythology, Pluto, in Roman mythology, or even King of Asuras in Hindu mythology. But, he's my dad.

And he allows me to live a life in mortal world even though he very well knows that I'm dead. I'm thousands of years old.

But, how can he do injustice? He can't do injustice with his children. So, he gave me a timeline to live. He said that I'll have to die after the death of one of my brothers or sisters.

I pleaded him and he gave a further order that I'll get the warning before fifteen years. Fifteen years from now, I received the warning. Before that, I'll have to grow you up. Grow up Diane."

I was brought back. Keira had stopped searching my memories.

"Ah dear." said Keira. "They never told you your true name." she said sympathetically.

"But now you know your true name. Using the fake one would be harmful."

"What's her true name?" asked Nelv.

"Diane Chedar." I said.

Naya's eyes narrowed.

"Diane Chedar. The Future Founder. Hope." She suddenly jumped.

I was taken aback by surprise.

"You'll give me back my home land?" she said with hope in her voice.

"What?"

"She's talking about Monastasia. The Land Beyond the Waterfall." said Keira.

"The homeland of magicians. But child, it was destroyed by The Nixes, ages ago."
