Chapter 9 - Am I Sane? Or My Surroundings Are ALWAYS Insane?

Fire shot in my veins instead of blood.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!" I screamed in pain.

"Who called me?" asked a soft voice.

I knew that voice.

"Mom!" I croaked.

"Oh! Shit! Cara!" Apparently, she did not know about Keira entering my memories and finding my name.

She closed her eyes and the throne disappeared. I landed on my butt.

My body was still paining.

"I know," I said.

Her smile faltered.

"What?" she asked cautiously.

"My name," I said weakly.

Dark red tears fell from her eyes.

"I'm sorry. I had to do it. For your protection."

The anger boiled inside me. I was livid. But, now was not the time to take out my anger at my mom. I forced down my anger.

"We'll discuss about apologies later. For now, come with me." I turned to the gap where the white structure had sealed me. I looked quizzically at it.

Mom sighed and pressed the mark of a pirate on the wall. Immediately, the white structure climbed back, leaving the gap for us to go.

"Keira," I called.

"Yes?" said Keira. Then, she saw Mom and bowed to her.

"Lord Sarahhizan,"

"My faithful follower, why did you summon me?"

"I want your essence, dead immortal," Keira said queasily.

She looked uncomfortable.

Mom smiled. "Is that the messy Penescope?"

"Yes, Lord."

"Fine." Then she held out her hand.

Keira gave her one of the small cauldrons.

Then she held it to her forehead.

A white structure floated in the cauldron.

"Take it, Keira." Then she turned to us.

"I have a gift for each one of you." She summoned a pocket knife.

"You'll need this soon, Nelv." she gave it to Nelv.

"Take this, Helly" she gave Helly a locket.

It had a symbol carved on it.
