Unable to stay asleep for longer than 30 minutes, SIG spent all night just laying his head on his arm on the side of the bed while looking after his patient. To him, it was still surreal that after the emotionally tumultuous turn of events between them, Youngie was just within his reach now, and he could hold her any moment. That he could look at her for as long as he wanted.

What were the odds that in the end, he would be the one to ask her to stay?
Her objection nearly had him sobbing in regret when she asked him to just take her home to her family. All he could do was tighten his arms around her even more while he thought of an excuse why he couldn't do that, because he didn't have the heart to tell her that she didn't have a family to go home to, remembering what she told him at the theatre. And just like then his heart broke for her.
So he reasoned that her family didn't know about their unresolved problems and he didn't want to burden them by letting her go home in her current condition. It only strengthened Youngie's initial suspicion about them living together as lovers.
The thought that it would only hurt her family if she didn't recognize any of them was enough to convince Youngie to stay.
Thankfully, the fever medicine finally kicked in, making her drowsy. So SIG gently lay her head down on the pillow then wiped the streaks of tears from her face.

Let me be your home for now. Just stay with me, Youngie, he thought to himself as the medicine lulled her to sleep.
When Youngie woke up still disoriented from the medicine around three in the morning, they had the pettiest squabble when SIG insisted on carrying her when she needed to use the bathroom, to which, of course, she objected. All SIG could do was reprimand her for being stubborn while she clung onto his arm as they slowly walked. But as soon as Youngie stepped out of the door when she was done with her business, SIG scooped her up and carried her on the way back without giving her a chance to protest.
Youngie had a hard time falling back asleep afterwards. So instead of just staring at each other like one of them would disappear, she took the opportunity to apologize to SIG one more time.
